Hi there! I have a UAD-2 satellite and some plugins registered on it. I no longer have the licenses to those plugins as I sold them, but the licenses are still registered on my unit. I'm aware if I update the unit the licenses will disappear. However my question is, I had plans to sell the UAD-2 Satellite, but also wonder if I can sell it with the plugins also included (NOTE - the person buying it would be completely aware that the licenses cannot be transferred to their UA account) the idea is they just come with the unit and can be used as much as they like as long as they don't update the unit. The reason I ask about this is because I've seen others sell units like this online - the plugins come with the unit, but not the actual licenses transferred.

So my question is, is that even possible? and if so how would I go about it to make sure those plugins would work on their computer.

Can you better explain though why that is the case? Do I need to transfer the actual UAD-2 satellite to their account to even be able to use it on a specific computer? I'm not sure how it all works.

Sorry it wasn't the "UAD Full Bundle crack!" you were hoping for.

@Joe Pepper You won't get an answer from the Indo. Serial spammer, keeps opening new accounts everyday after being banned. Just sayin'.

Yes, it is possible just as you described. That's how I bought my first UAD-2 card. Just make sure to tell the person who's buying the unit from you he must install exactly the same UAD software version as in your Satellite (older UAD software versions available on UAD archive downloads) - and if he updates to new one the plugins will be disabled.
    Everything else should be fine.

EDIT: Not sure about transferring the unit to another account, though. I'm afraid your Satellite will come with Analog Classics bundle only :dunno:

I bought a used UAD2 Solo a year ago to get into the UAD2 stuff. It had all the licences of the previous owner on it who had a 2nd card which he used as his primary. But once he had transfered the ownership to me and I registered the card to my account, all the plugins were reset back to demo mode, which was okay to me because I knew these plugins were not part of the deal.

But I saw some other sketchy deals on ebay and such where people sold their hardware with included a lot of plugins but not the actual ownership. So the seller could keep on to the plugins, using them on a 2nd card, sell the other card to a 3rd person that could then still use em.

Thanks for your helpful answer! I just had one more thing I want to ask you as I'm still a tad unsure. So as long as he installs the correct driver the plugins should work on any PC correct? (assuming the PC is up to date). My final question is will it work without transferring the license of the UAD2 Satellite to his account? meaning, if he just plugs it in then downloads the correct software version that's all that's needed to have the UAD plugins up and running?

Yes, it will work that way :)

Again, yes. In fact, I have some PCIe UAD-a Duo still on my account, and I sold it to a friend year ago. He's using it with authorization loaded onto it, and all plugins registered on my account are working. Remember: DO NOT UPDATE UAD software if you're doing this!
