    Hello!
So i switched recently to Ableton and so far it works perfect i just have one problem which i will describe below:
Im using AT-2020 with Behringer UMC22 and with ASIO drivers set on behringer drivers i have pretty low latency on recording microphone.
But when i record tracks and then put autotune + nectar on 3 main groups of vocals when i try to record some more vocals because im missing something i have BIG delay.
Are there any ways to for example when i record more stuff make my plugins not cause delay?
Im NOT recording on tracks with effects already, i have seperate audio track clear for recording.

Turn off Nectar and make sure Auto Tune is on low latency mode. Every Auto Tune except AT5 has mad latency unless you turn on low latency mode.

On principle not. Some plugins come with latency to process the signal properly.
You can either freeze the tracks or use a higher sampling rate which will shorten the latency because it's calculated in samples not time (ms). With twice the sampling rate the latency is halved. But this also needs more CPU power. Freezing is probably the better option.
For the mixing stage you can unfreeze the tracks again.

    And this
doesn't matter. It's the plugins you already use in the song that matters.

seperate your recording stage from your production stage. there is no harm in applying small processes (namely, latency free ones) during recording, but if you focus on recording while recording then you will have the added advantage of giving the process 100% of your attention as well as not being tempted to use plugins that require latency.

if you are forced to record into a project mid-production then your options are, as said by no avenger, freeze the tracks, or disable them (i assume that is possible in live?).
