I dual booted Windows 8 on my computer, everything worked fine except Kontakt refused to let me add any libraries to the library tab. All of the libraries works in the library tab on my Windows 7. Can anyone help? Also the vsts would not show up in Cubase or Fl Studio.

    win 8 32-bit or 64-bit?

probably you did it already, but i have to ask,
did you specify the vst folder for both Cubase or Fl Studio?

If your on x64 Windows 8 it's because you told it to install your plug-ins in the programsfiles x86/vstplugin folder instead of just programfiles/vstplugin. There is a good chance you've been installing plugin-ins in both folder and this is what happened.

Because I run Win8 with Kontakt 5.1 and it works better than on Win7.

So yeah as the person above suggested your probably pointing ot the wrong vstplugin folder.

As for the kontakt issue, I assume your using a crack version which means you may have replaced the .dll files in the wrong folder which means you never actually cracked kontakt which is why it wont add libraries

For some reason people who say it works has Kontakt 5.0.3 so I downloaded old one and used my Kontakt 5.1 and upgraded and it works. Thanks anyway.

That's because you didn't crack 5.1 properly as I said above. Which means your service center was never cracked. So when you installed the "old" kontakt, you cracked service center which made it work. So yeah basically that old version correctly cracked that which was not.

In fact I know it is because 5.0.3 was the update patch most people use.

If the above isn't what happened it's because when you installed 5.1 you uninstalled the previous [it propts you to during installation] so when you uninstalled/reinstalled it removed the old crack and reinstalled a fresh service center.

In fact I think there are like 3 threads on that problem alone between 5.0.3 and 5.1

And just in case you think this isn't relevant anymore, it will be next time you try to install and upgrade and the same thing happens.

Point is, it's better to know what the issue is instead of just saying "got it working for wtfe reason, im good".
