"The scale of how unintuitive and buggy reaper is is astounding when you factor the its price, speed, etc compared against it popularity."

Couldn't agree more. I have some buds that are HARDCORE Reaper fanbois that have been trying to sell me on it for YEARS.
One of them is very big and well known in COCKos community for his themes and other contributions to the platform. I've
REALLY tried to like it but I find it clunky, buggy and just unsuitable to my workflow. I was a Cubendo user for years but
switched to Studio One at about V 2.0 and have never looked back. Yes, I know it lacks some things....what DAW doesn't.
For some more MIDI oriented projects I use some other DAWS. BUT......Studio One is my audio bitch.

I use Reaper and my shit doesn't do that. Reaper is a DAW where you have to pay more attention than most. Tooltips are your friends.

Instead of blaming Reaper and Kenny Gioia, check your PC or Mac, soundcard, asio driver, buffer etc etc
Most of glitch issues come from there, not necessary from Reaper.
I have been using a few daws since 1989, I am now a Reaper user, pretty happy with it and won't never go back!
If you don't like Reaper, don't use it. If you don't like Kenny Gioia, don't watch his tutorials. As simple as that.

We get it, you don't know how to use reaper. Cool story.

Also. I. Hate. The. Way. Kenny. Talks. So. There's. That. :hillbilly:

I honestly don't know what problem people have with Reaper. It is the most streamlined DAW I've ever used and extremely flexible, whereas other more popular DAWs feel like they were made to be used by IT techs.

Ya know... there's people who prefer LMMS.
There's those who prefer Tracktion and MuTools.
Even some prefer to use Renoise.
    DAWs are an acquired taste.
I love reaper, and really like many features of other DAWs.

Reason was my first love though. But after walking into the world of VST's years ago, and finding the short comings of Ableton Live, FL Studio, Studio One, etc. I realized, that I preferred the philosophy of Reaper. Again, it's all about personal taste. Reaper is the first DAW that I actually feel responsible for my own workflow.

Soundtracker or OctaMED for the Amiga, or failing that, OpenMPT for the win.
