You can input MIDI to Auto-tune, then you don't need to use melodyne.

i have issues getting auto tune to work properly on certain vocals and I am curious to know how you guys go about fixing this issue.

For this result you dont need melodyne, autotune or waves tune will do the job. The question is why you want your voice to sound like that? The improper use of the autotune was trendy at the beginning, then it became mainstream, now it is only conformist and annoying

I ment no harm lol he is definitely right and in terms of my personal vocals I don't use this effect however I have clients who come in and they want this effect specifically so I wanted to learn how it's done.

 

Ask him, he knows Auto Tune perfectly and even more... believe me, I know what I'm talking about

Lol ikr well I am all ears brother, I will be posting some of my work soon so you guys can tear it apart hehe thanks for the help so far the video definitely helped a bunch, I have since begun to record with it live and the difference is night and day.

 

i dont understand why people aim to get this sound.

you need to make auto-tune work hard to get it to sound this bad, so performers need to be as far from the correct note as possible. im not sure about settings etc but the biggest challenge can be getting singers to sing that badly :D

 

Lol and here I was thinking I was recording crappy takes why auto tune always sounded off.
