Hello to everyone, i have kontakt 6.2 and i'm going crazy because i can't add any library. i can load the library in kontakt 5.6.6 but the kontakt 6.2 can't see it and furthermore when i restart kontakt 5.6.6 the library disappear. i've tried to change the SNPID in the xml file, but kontakt 5.6.6 doesn't create the xml file of the library. the library that i'm trying to add is the orchestra by sonuscore. please someone help me.

 

I use 5.6.0 to add to 6.2.1.
5.6.6 wasn't stable.
Of course it will disappear from a version of Kontakt that can't even play it!

Isn't The Orchestra for 6.2.1? Could be your answer.

 

i've searched, yea, it's for 6.2.1, i thought that it could still work. i've tried also with 5.6.0 but same things. anyway thank you very much for the answer. so do you know a good orchestral library for my version?

 

Not any one orchestra library, no. But a mixture of a few, usually.
Depends on their usage. What kind of music is it that you are doing?
The Orchestra is nice but isn't the most useful, honestly. Very loop based; sounds very obvious when used.
I prefer control over each instrument.

 

Hang on a moment though. And your title says libraries plural too.
So there may be more to this anyway.
Are you aware of how Kontakt creates a .xml file in Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Centre ?
If not, let me know, because there may be something for you to know. I don't know if this is the start of your Kontakt journey or not...?

 

yea this is the start of my kontakt journey, i've tried before with ethereal and it createde the xml but because of an installation error i couldn't use it. basically i'm looking for some nice orchestra instruments, so if you know any library or vst it would be very helpfull ahaha. thanks a lot for answering me

Looks like you don't have write permissions on Service Center folder...

 

Sometimes on MACOS the SNPID in the Library XML file is absent after adding the library...
Go to Library/Application Support/Native instruments/ Service Center
Edit yourkontaktlibrary.xml, look for <SNPID>XXX</SNPID> if there's 000 instead of the library ID then you must change it, the right ID can be found in your Kontakt Folder in the yourkontaktlibrary.ninct file look for <SNPID>XXX</SNPID> XXX being the library ID
