    I guess they ran out of parts for Knobs and Ratio Buttons as well ;)

    I am pretty sure they will become available on the paid version.

    Ilok drivers cause no harm to your cracked plugins or anything. There's no point in ranting about them.

    I personally love the simplicity of fixed attack and release ratios. I'm in love with the LA2A. If this is an LA2A on steroids, I'm all for it, and free.

    But an LA2A is optical,so the attack and release are set accordingly to the light bulb,that is emulated on plugins of course.No attack and release are not a problem there,I agree.
    But on a 1176,no light bulb emulated,totally different technology.I find very useful the attack and release knobs on these compressors.

    I've tested it against the following 1176es on an Abbey Road 50s Drumkit in Maschine in Nuke/All Buttons In Mode, because according to the Manual, that's what Smasher is based on:

    IK Multimedia Back 76
    CLA 76 blacky and bluey
    UAD 1176 LN & SE (Legacy)

    And I've gotta say, it smashes better than the ones mentioned. The UAD and CLA76 Models distort really quickly and the Black 76 doesn't bring out the ambience as nicely. Smasher feels a bit more groovin' and breathin' than the ones I tested it against. So definitely a good freebie here.
