No, do you really need that?
Check your mix in mono. Use your ears and watch out if single instruments become thinner, lose body or punch, or even disappear. If so, you have a problem that you should fix. If not, you don't need to fix it.

Use a broadband correlation meter to analyze your overall stereo width or to identify problems on aux channels. Use a multi-band correlation meter to find specific frequency-related problems.
If there are correlation problems in a specific frequency range, check the settings of your channel EQ and fix the problem there. Because, an EQ is a phase shifter! And in most cases an EQ is the cause of such problems. Apart from harmonics, multiband-processors and time based effects...

There's also one in MetricAB which is better than MAAT or Voxengo's....

Hey Biro, you could also use the correlation meter in Voxengo SPAN to check your mono compatibilty, re. what Sinus Well was saying.

Also Dualism, Hawkeye and Nugen Visualizer have correlation analyzers.
They come in handy for detailling issues when you do have issue. Weither through the pilling of eqs, stereo tools and fxs in synths patches or just overprocessed samples, they're bound to appear.

Nope. Those Visualizer, dualism, and hawkeye, as well as MetricAB offer both a broadband correlation meter and display of correlation by frequency.

Second tool from up for nugen

Can't find a screenshot online for Dualism but if you go on the product page you'll see a Phase Spectrum analyser is included. Same with kaweke you can have phase display in the spectrum analizer in addition to the wide band correlation meter (on PA site, description of Hawkeye : Analyzer :
Spectrum- and 1/3 Octave-Analyzer as well as Phase-Panorama-Display: Spectrum (FFT) with 4096 bands achieving a high frequency and amplitude precision; Spectrogram; Panorama- and Phase-Display with a resolution of 4096 frequency bands; 1/3 octave analyzer; Linear and mouse draggable logarithmic frequency scales; Mouse draggable dB scale to change the displayed amplitude ranges)

    Nugen Visualizer description :
    Customised analysis

Powerful, flexible audio analysis, giving you immediate access to precisely the information you need, when you need it.

    • Resizable interface
    • Intelligent window optimization
    • Stand-alone and plug-in versions
    • Stereo spectrogram
    • Vector scope
    • Stereo bias meter
    • Peak hold control
    • Correlation by frequency
    • FFT spectrum analysis
    • Frequency/dB zoom & scroll

Well, it should be because: MetricAB 200$, MAAT 50$, Voxengo free.

With Voxengo having 64 bands, you don't need the rest.

It has a ton of useful features which means it could've been just as basic as voxengo or maats multiband correlation meter and still have been worth the price.

Yes it is. Unless you're buying it ONLY for the multiband correlation meter. Then of course it isnt.

Yeah you pay for having a lot of different tools in one unit in order to monitor different aspects. Also possibilities to tweak several aspects in the behavior of each monitoring tool.
Hawkeye, visualizer, are great to have the main monitoring tools in one windows. Great on the 2bus.
I like dualism because it offers the most tools and it's not just a monitoring tool. It's a also astrip with filters and stereo tools. You can have one or two monitoring tools open in the same window - in addition to the strip which in itself is also a level monitoring tool.
What I live about dualism is its routing options. When you have dualism across all your track, you can choose inside each minoting tool which signal is routed, you can route two from diffrent tracks at the same time in a single monitoring window, very practical.
Visualizer has a similar feature, with their additional "send" tool. But dualism is also usefull as a strip on each track as a gain staging/stereo tool.
