Hey there, I was around looking for a list of free Holiday promotions for plugins, and Noticed I missed IK Multimedia offering their Black Compresser (I use this alot) for free! Bummed.

SO I figured the people of AS would know some great stuff that may be hard to find.

Right now,

-Native Instruments is offering their RAUM reverb for free until Jan 16th

-Acustica Audio offering "Celestial" free until Feb 14th.

-Audio Assault just dropped the price to ALL of their plugins to only $5.00 each, and you get a freebie plugins with your purchase! (with $5.00 off orders over $10.00 plus one free plugin) So that is essentially 3 plugins for $5.00!

Thanks, but CELESTIAL is *technically* not working for me. (Production computer NOT connected to the internet)

I got a laptop out and downloaded the app through their goddamned Aquarius software (sandboxed) and installed it, moved all these files to the desktop.
Result = "Please authorize this product"

Either im an idiot doing something wrong (please tell me that i am and how to fix this) or Acoustica Audio desperately need your computer to link up with their servers before you can use this plugin (for how long, they decide huh?)

If thats the case, fuck acoustica, ill throw their christmas preset back in their smug face!

You can't do it with their freebies. The procedure you're trying to achieve (move file after install) can only be achieved with the paid plugs, where you can generate a key from your account on AA website. The key you're moving along with Celestial installation file (aut file) is linked to the hw you originally set it up upon. And since you can't generate keys manually with their freebies...

 

Btw you can remove aquarius and you don't need it installed along the plugs you've installed with it once you're done with it.
Once the plugs is installed and authorized remove it.

 

Ah fk it then, ill delete it. I think thats a sly thing to do Acustica

I did have to replace some system dlls that were newer than the ones i had. old AA plugs seem to work fine with them.
would they improve older plugs?

 

I always tend to worry that free plugins are just an attempt to snoop and see what other "free" plugins might be lurking on a system... :-O

 

Well, that would be bad. I Hope R2R can quickly sort this "free" release out and that it shows up on the sister site

 

I bought an Arturia SPARK LE, went to site to download SPARK VST software, and it looked to me that I could only download and authorize it a total of 5 times for the life of the product! Don't like their business model (I stay away from iLok too). Luckily, I wound up using the R2R SPARK version instead.
