    - The Grid
    - Vst Sandboxing
    - Innovative Browser based on tags
    - Expressive Midi Support

Unfortunately, i couldn't get over the toy-looking and small mixer meters (among other things in the GUI). I just can't see myself mixing in it. But then again, Bitwig strengths lie in its synthesis and sound manipulation capabilities. For me, it's more geared towards EDM production which is not what i do. I'm a tape-machine tracking kinda guy :P

    You mean those "small" meters....Lol

The ones that can cover the entire screen ?

I surely agree that it's not a mixing daw, like its big brother Live (go ahead and choke live users) who suck for that. Those are producing daws. Reaper, Cubase, Samplitude, Studio 1, etc for mixing. Certain functionnalities are indispensable for mixing, and well...
But bitwig is great at what it does. For me it's Live but polished for people who love sound design, modulation madness and more. It's also incredibly CPU efficient, which Live isn't, never was and never will be apparently (thanks to the devs, big up, big up)

I'm legit but I saw it on AZ two days ago. :dunno:

Scratch that. They even just uploaded v 3.1 on AZ today, and it was just released, I haven't renewed my Bitwig plan yet (will do it by the end of the year, so that renewal matches sales next year) that ended a week ago and I don't even have this version yet.
Thanks to iND for making it available to all (well for win users ofc, but who's still using Mac nowadays, just joking ofc).

But faders are awfuly small. I treated it by assighning volume control to endless rotating knob on my controller.

I figured. Linux version isn't available either btw.

You never hear those guys complaining, I like Linux users.

No problem, man. Misunderstood what you meant. I agree btw. I'm lucky enought to use Akai MPK 2 61 which is nicely integrated with Bitwig so I never touch those. Indeed they are unpractical.

I can use my PUSH 2 with it. I can also use my JAM with it. Don't need jBridge anymore.

I upgraded my 8-track when they went on sale recently. I like that it is more stable here for me than Live ever was. Sad, because I was legit on that DAW as well.

The release on AZ is not cracked. It's not even a scene release. Just some idiot who downloaded the freely accessible installer, and packaged the older crack which doesn't work.

But they like to profit off garbage releases.

Ouch. That sucks. Didn't go in the comments of the release, thought it was "legit".
Was the 3.0.2 in the same situation, or is it a working proper release ?

Someone woke up and removed the release from the site :)

The 3.02 was a proper release, however there is a timebomb in it that some people get hit with. It starts beeping. You can alleviate some of it by blocking things in host file, but the beeping will appear even then if you load certain files.

They did a good job making it annoying to dig in the files to find and edit the protection. They used java for part of it, they scrambled the names with an obfustication tool making it harder to track and debug. More power to them :) I got tired of waiting for clean versions and bought in. Most of the things I use I purchase when I can anyhow - even though its a glorified hobby.

Same here, got it at last Winter sale. Had no idea the grid was coming, best purchase of last year.

Man the devs have put a lot of work in the protection system. I guess it was to be expected, it's an endless game of cat and mouse,I know a lot of people can't afford it, so I hope the teams find a way around the booby trap !
