Do you want to stop the Troll?

  1. Yes, please stop it! Every time I see Audiosex feed on AZ I feel uneasy and get anxiety.

This is a general talk, pool.

Any resemblance to actual events or locales or persons is entirely coincidental.

Troll's meaning is vague. Everyone can call another person a troll that doesn't like his/her posts or doesn't want to understand them or thinks they are immature but other members may have opposite views. Better to mitigate the angers and chilly receptions.

Otherwise, Olymoon sitting it out, waiting his turn to issue warnings and I don't think anyone wants that nightmare.

A Troll is not a Troll if he/she can't stop the reply loop, according to this theory not everyone can be a real Troll.

Why is it always necessary to give those answers some predetermined reasons? Is it not enough to choose "yes" or "no"? :dunno:

    And if not. Why?

Opposite views and trolling has very little to do with each other, no matter what any one member calls something. A moderator have to find out which is which with help from the community to be able to make good decisions.

I think everyone here can agree that opposite views per se should be tolerated. Serious trolling though can be toxic and if negligated may deteriorate a forum quite a lot. Not seldom to the point where a small amount of trolls define the forum and non-trolls choose a more constructive place to participate in. Something to look out for.

It is a problem with your poll that you did not define trolling.

Sorry that was equivocal. I meant having opposite views about the definition and specifying the lines of demarcation between trolling and not trolling.

You can call the person A a troll and his/her acts be anathema to you but another individual can be the exact opposite of you and call the person A a cool guy.

Sounds like people think trolling is flaming. To those people: the cupholder on my PC is broken! Halp me!

Well it is not necessary, but it is hard to resist.
    Because the brain.
See, everything is more complicated than it seems.
Or, maybe it is better to say that we make it more complicated by thinking.
No, that is wrong. Totally wrong.
Everything IS more complicated, and thinking only REVEALS the complexity.

Anyway, my first thought ... at least the first one I was aware of (because lots of thoughts happen and we barely are aware), is that this poll itself might be considered a troll. A troll poll.
I am not trying to insult or defend trolling either. I hate trolling. But I think a lot of people behave in a troll-like manner when they are not trying to do classic trolling. Unfortunate aspect of their personality...

But I think the topic is important. It comes to my mind frequently that this is not a public place, but private property, and we are here as guests. Some people pay the taxes and clean the place and try to make it good, like a neighbor's property.
So, who decides who is allowed or not, and judges what's right and wrong, good or bad?
Well the owner has people who work for him, maybe at low salary or volunteer or maybe they are paid very well, indeed.
It makes no difference in the authority given them to do whatever the owner wishes within the limits of the law.
We may disagree about what is allowed and what gets removed, but I find less annoyance when I am reminded that at least it is not in MY yard.
We do best when we try to do better ourselves, and doing that we may find may find we forget about the others, because there is plenty to do. Sometimes it is more appropriate to add what we think is good than attempt to remove what we think is bad.

With all that said, KILL ALL THE TROLLS!!!
