I tend to agree. I get that they are promoting it, but they could at least do a quick test drive of the thing, show it in action. There is no point in disserting over a plugin and not showing what it's capable of. It's specially stupid since it's very good and words are useless when a tool is good.

Oh hell yes. It's pure magick. On (super-pro version only) hidden B pannel, there is an option switch to use Dave's super-sampled mind in AI helper form. Just closing eyes (mixing with ears, like all super-pros do) and poking Dave's head with rat, or controller, makes magick in less than seconds. Milliseconds. Faster than latency. When Dave's left, or mirroring right super-ear-pointer finds the sweet spot or right qe settings, for any possible sound source, Dave's voice whispers gently: "That´s it!". And voila, that's it. It's working better (and faster) than any of gazillion eqs tested. Pure ("Stop, Dave, I'm afraid.") magick.

 

I haven't watched the video but I bet he says something like it's rapidly becoming one of his favourite blahblahs, just like all the hundreds of others that are quickly becoming one of his favourites. He'll say that about anything if you give him one for nothing.

Finally a real drive around Pensado EQ in "into the lair". He explains how it was made, etc, and makes a demonstration on a mix. The goods start at 7:45.

Damn. The low band, on freq 50 and 80 hz it's actually two different harmonic generators that were sampled not classical eq bands.

I don't know Dave personally but I am friends with people that do. While I'm sure this is a fine EQ, Dave promotes a lot of plugins on his Web show and it ain't for free. So while Dave would not promote trash, don't expect magic just because his name is on it.

 

It's an endorsement so he gets a cut, promo or not. Might as well promote on his show, indeed.
I bought it before the promo. It's one of AA best EQ. Very original thing, like 30 different hw from Pensado stach in this single unit, the Pre alone are worth the price.
Got it cause it's AA, and actually for once because of their tech it matters that it's Pensado that was associated to the creation process. He chose the gear sampled, for each freq band he picked things that he uses for those specific freq aera, so it's very different from their other products. They've sampled not one unit (or several for different tools) but they've sampled a workflow of a guy with all the gears that come with it.

I have no other signed or whatever Pensado stuffs.

Well, knowing Acustica just had a 70% discount not long ago, doesn't make me want to buy more right now.. if it would have been another 70% I'd have gone for Sand and Amethyst, but now I'm using what I have and be happy
