I'm the guitarist . That one wasn't from 20 years ago it was 8 or 9 the date is on that video link we opened up for 1349 so we recorded that video the battery died though and only got that much of it.
That was my black metal band Veil.
That drummer I still work with today
He's good friends with drummer from origin

  6. Here's a quote from page 11. So Jack, you say that you are the guitarist, but then you have already said this. Okay, I'm happy to concede you play both.

The link to my 20 year old music I play all the instruments.
In that material in the black metal from that video 9 years ago was the composer and guitarist in that band.
That day our keyboardist was sick and our bassist was late so what you hear is the 3 people .
It came out okay not the greatest.

So you play jazz now?Quite a change in musical direction.

  13. Sorry Jacq. You may not think it's important, but for me, getting to know you is the way to understand you. I hope you don't mind me saying here that I have pm'd you three times requesting a friendly discourse for this very purpose.

  14. It's an incredible leap. And my admiration goes out to any musician who can reconstruct themselves in such a way.

When I started with music I did Rock and metal .
Then I went to Germany in the army and did lot industrial that is some that 20 year old music while in Manheim. ( During 911) then when I got out I did live sound for 3 years for all genres got kidney problem so I started with partner a hip hop recording studio and did the production engineering then after that went back to metal. But only 10 years ago started getting into music theory music history musicology . That's when I fell in love with chamber music and jazz .
But it still do every type genre .I like them equally.

    Thank you I appreciate that.
Everything about me musically was just hard work I might had some natural ability but just working everyday came from poor background had to build myself up and just loved every separate angle of music .lot things were not easy for me at first .
( Just drums came easy except for extreme metal drumming )
My singing is worst out of everything even now it's so bad I have a northern accent from ny and vocal train in the booth everyday and it's trash still my nasal natural sound and over pronunciation of vowels .idk lol
Studying jazz has been hard road for me .

Let's see if the Admins block this proof of this inepitude of MMJ - this self proclaimed 'teacher'....

Any 'real' musician (who understands theory properly) knows diminished chords are based upon a series of minor thirds. Ie. C, Eb, Gb, Bbb.
The only way to describe a diminished chord is to use the correct naming (Bbb) in your example of C#,E, G, and A# shows us you *don't* know what the hell you are talking about. It's a Bb - not an A# because it has to have the correct note nomenclature. This is the basis of actual theory and not your brand of waffle.

Saying or suggesting it's okay to change enharmonically will get you a fail at the Royal Schools of Music (London).

So stop..... just stop. You're an idiot - as if there isn't enough proof already.....

So if you look at the section where that came from .
    It wasn't C# dim7 being explained .
    I said take Bdim7
And for every note place the note before and after it .

Also we are talking symbols here .
Whether you write C# or Db
It's not literal but representing the frequency HZ.
    It's a symbol.
When I write a text info based sometimes I'll use #
So it's easier to visually recongnize .
You comment is not taking into consideration
What my consideration are in this type of context

    C#..E..G...A#
    D....F...G#...B
    D# .F#..A...C

The level of detail if the information that has meaning isn't in the symbol .
But a level deeper into what the symbol represents
    In my writings.

It's looking at a level of scale higher than inside a key
Where there is a preference for accidental.
So there are variables and considerations.
My priority is to help people understand .
So if I have to show a # as a sharp so they can get which note and move on that's a higher priority
Then to nit pick on things lesser importance.
( It's because of the text format I don't have to worry about that hand writing scores )
When I teach by speaking it's just as easy to hear
C# or Db so it's not an issue there.
( That's in cases where your zoomed into 1 single key to begin with )
This comment which your referencing deals with 4 keys so at that scale there's no standard enharmonic equivilents . It's at level of key that it's important.
Then most times I will just use the #
Even inside a key, it's not because I don't know flats , it's out of different considerations for how it reads through since b is a note .sometimes writing Bb instead of A# screws with the way it reads out .
These things based on my considerations choices that I decide on . Its not because I did it on accident.
I prioritize what is being named higher than the name
In my threads .if I was posting song transcriptions it would be different like exact things to play in a exact key an exact way.but my threads are zoomed out from that type of level.
I'm posting information about what all songs have in common how they are all built like that info about the Diminished7
