Hi
last two sample packs I downloaded from AudioNews have been password protected (Black Octopus Sound Funky Indian Rhythms & Futurephonic MixTransformers Mixing Masterclass TUTORIAL) i messaged uploader (no reply) and put messages on the library page (again no reply).
Never had this issue before.
Is anyone else encountering this?
Or can anyone help resolve it please?

I didn't encounter that, but, most probably, the password is Uploader's name or Website's name. Try and see how it works.

I just downloaded the torrents that you said were password protected. They are NOT! Try using a different Rar extractor. If you're on Mac, use Keka. On windows, I extracted with Winrar, latest demo version.

Maybe, that's why nobody replied to you on Audionews. Or maybe the uploader reuploaded the files.

 

If "No files to extract" error appear, most probably you have to download the files again. Or, if you still have them in your torrent client, you can use the "Force re-check" option.

 

If none of above works, use a different torrent client. I downloaded with Utorrent 3.5.5

It is forbidden to put passwords in the download packages in Audionews. Do what they say grdh20 and MarkSlater

 

Right-Click on the torrent's name in the torrent client. Sometimes the torrents seem like being completely downloaded, but they are not 100%. In my case, they are without errors, so you can't force re-check. Like in this picture:

 

often "password protected" can be a simple error of incomplete file, it can sometimes happen

 

I'm guessing you mean force start?

Force start or force re-check. They are both in the menu.

It appears my previously trustworthy UnRarX is no longer trustworthy.

Weird. But first try Keka. It is a rar / zip problem solver on Mac.

Funky Indian Rhythms extracted without issue but Keka is throwing this message up with Futurephonic MixTransformers Mixing Masterclass TUTORIAL
" Error code 10 using "unrar"
No files matching the mask "
Anyone got any ideas as to what this is?
Broken download perhaps?

Again solved.
weird.
I thought i'd try (don't know why that thought come into my head) moving the files elsewhere and now there extracting.
