Their new expansions are just old recycled sounds. So they thought maybe lets release a new version or so before December so R2R/V.R get a month's time to crack it and release it as a new year gift for us

100% gurantee it will happen. Nexus 3.0 will het cracked. It will have bugs, a lot of them, tho. Then nexus, say 3.1 will fix all the bugs and it will not get cracked. Refx already knows only few people will actually pay that much to just get a better UI. So it needs to give a taste of how cool (or shit) N3 will be

It's a surprise that refx go in a different direction with their new copy protection than vengeance, At first time reading the news, I thought they use fukin codermeter from now on, too. But just a serial number is a very good idea, and I think too, that they choose some hard to crack method, because they are so paranoid about piracy, but who knows, maybe they are really that desperate, and demberto is right.

 

And then every kid will have free access to the sounds some people have paid lots of hundreds (every XP is like $50, plus the first $250 plus the eLicenser).
That would be hating their current customers even more (as if the paid 3.0 update wasn't enough)

They don't care who is happy or sad. They know they are one of the best in sound quality and everyone wants/has/had Nexus at some time. If they cared they would not make N3 paid or sell $60 exps

Works fine, just the skins are not available currently. However the categories are gone, it's just "factory sounds" now.

 

New GUI showing on main refx.com site. Looks a lot different.

 

its a ggood rompler with ready to use sounds but only usabe with all expansions but to expensive

 

Looks so cheap and standard, Nexus had kinda made the standard for nowadays plugins, and now this? even though, i can never afford or buy even if i could, that GUI would be a big turn off for me, Yes and i know it's audio, but i very mush like a good looking plugin, makes my life a bit easier.

Why? Whats bad in it. Looks good. Modern flat design. No 3D knobs, faders, buttons.

 

Not keen on the new look :O

 

I like the new look. All the presets are right on top without needing dropdown menus, the controls are well laid out and accessible, I love that they have added a keyboard for times when you might not have access to an external controller and of course you can reskin it if you don't like black.

The new gui looks like some free plugins.Cheap-ish, but it's good on the eye. I hope they make a new version of the old gui.

 

i just checked their site a mintue ago ..still no changes at REFX site

did they forgot the date ?
and they still didnt announce their black friday deal

They are based on the west coast of Canada so they probably haven't got to the office yet. Wouldn't get too excited because the Vengeance site is crashing due to demand so I suspect the same will happen with refx.
