Hello everyone. I am going to write my first essay about the influence of music and I would like to know your suggestions about how to amke the writing process more effective. Tell me about your first essay and what It was about? Maybe you can share your works or some samples to check and I'll be really glad. Thanks.

I wrote about creativity and Flow (flow state, Mihály Csíkszentmihályi). I read a few books, studies and other work in that research area. Then I conducted my own experiments with three different creative outlets:
    1) free flow over 8 hours (one looong sitting),
    2) speedwriting [5min limit for each idea/burst],
    3) restraints/rules (random poem and random set of chords, picked/decided before the improvisation)

I had to stick to the usual APA format when writing. In my case I used qualitative research, rather than quantative. Mine waswritten in Swedish (for University) so I don't think it will help you much.

Edit: There are a lot of useful databases where essays and scientific papers are stored (national and international). Most of them free to be read and studied, and taken into your own research. Sourcing is very important and the source has to have scientific credibility, which can be tricky in a "artistic" field (since much is subjective).

I think that you have to practice a lot to achieve the required result. If you will have enough skills you will be able to write an impressive essay. You can try to use different samples and I think it is not a problem to find them online.

You can find samples at educational platforms and websites of services. They often publish such a piece of information for free.

Most important thing: Define and sepcify the topic. The influence of music in regards to what: Neuronal functions? chemical reactions? bodily functions? emotions? individuals? society? culture?

Then gather arguments and structure them logically and discuss them.

While this isn't appalling, it's pretty clear that English isn't your first language. That might be a bit of a giveaway.

The first essay i remember writing was about Spanish oranges and the area in Spain,Valencia if i recall, from where the oranges were grown.
I was about 7 at the time, so over 60 years ago, so i doubt that will help you much. :)
Old school research was done in the library using an ancient copy of Encyclopedia Brittanica, lol.
Kids today dont realise how fucking easy the internet and computers make essay writing nowadays.

A concept map helps a lot to connect ideas and find a structure for the essay or even a thesis.

Its hard to write about something which is not really concrete or is just in your mind as an idea - thats why i think laying it down in a visual way could help - no matter, which topic it is.

In addition to the usual feedback, I enquire about the student's interest in publishing or presenting their work at the university's UG conference when it is genuinely remarkable. If the response is affirmative, we'll decide on a suitable outlet together and meet during business hours to go over changes before they submit it on essay writing service reddit. Letting the kid know that you consider them a "genuine writer" is the finest way to recognize exceptional writing. As a result, they might be more productive in the future because they won't have to spend as much time on less critical activities in the long run.

EDIT GODDAMN IT THIS THREAD IS FROM 2019.

    WHAT GRADE DID THEY GET?

juss uze chatgpt write? no no, don't do that. are we talking a 5 paragraph type essay? i was pretty good at those, sometimes i even leave essay like comments here. the first and last paragraphs are just word filler and what your point is. the middle ones back up the point with your evidence and explaining why it's relevant or whatever.

the influence music has could be a ton of things, like how it influenced you personally, or your favorite musician, or like how music perhaps shaped an event in history. you could watch some movies about music/musicians if you don't have any idea where to start and pick someone you like. think of like people being shocked by elvis, or the beatles, or NWA or even wayyyy back like when things like polyphony were banned by the church for being heretical hahahahaha. that's what i would write about.

if your teacher hasn't shown you how read through something like this- https://libguides.elmira.edu/research

just PLEASE make sure it's from a college or public library NOT like... a conspiracy theory website or facebook or something.

DO NOT PAY SOMEONE TO WRITE IT FOR YOU. even if this is hard and makes your brain hurt it wont forever it'll get easier, unless you never do it and then you'll spell like kevin smith up there.

i don't remember my first essay, but my favorite essay was comparing the odyssey by homer to the movie trainspotting, which is about heroin addicts. I got an A+.

so for like that, it'd basically be like this:

the movie trainspotting is similar to the ancient story the odyssey. i will show you through point a, point b and point c how similar they are. (like i said use word filler, but you say your major point, then briefly say how you'll show that)

The first similarities starts when blah blah blah blah and that's point A.

Another example is blah blah blah and blah blah point B.

Point C is blah blah blah blah.

To conclude trainspotting is like the odyssey, as shown by the points. more word salad.

try to use avoid things like "i think" or any language that doesn't sound confident. then use bigger words using a thesaurus if there is a certain letter count you need to hit, or even word count cause ten bucks the teacher is gonna look at how long it is not count out a bunch of words. so that'll eat up some space too, and try to not use the same words over and over the thesaurus is useful for that too. use different phrasing, and read it out loud when you think you're done, you'll catch things you didn't before that way, or if things sound unnatural.

    good luck!
