Hans Zimmer Blade Runner 2049

    Hi. I would like to recreate this fat analog sound from track called "Blade Runner".
    It looks easy but it's not. Devil seat in the details. I can't get the exact sound.


    From 0:52 to 1:48

    I try to recreate this in Steinberg Model-E.

    This is how settings looks like:

    There is a mp3 file in the attached files how Model-E + few effects like auto-filter, eq, saturator sounds.

    What I must add? What i must change?
    Maybe other vst will be better?
    Do You know other more analog vst better for this?
    Maybe Diva or Monark or AAS Ultra Analog?

    thats not analog....maybe analog or analog emu processed yeh...

    thats a braams layered with stuff..

    Start with two SAW waves one octave apart, slightly detuned, with a mean bitcrusher added, then tweak to your liking.

    This is really really helpful:

    “We tried to create the intention of a more contemporary sound using 40-year-old technology,” Wallfisch says. “It’s a lot harder but the result has soul.”

    “It’s got a little dirt under the fingernails,” Zimmer adds.

    The CS-80 was part of a coterie of synths. They also used the u-he “wireless” modular plugin Zebra, as well as the company’s Diva softsynth, which was designed by Urs Heckmann based on Zimmer’s favorite Minimoog; Wallfisch was able to bring out a DSI Prophet-12 he hadn’t yet had the opportunity to use; a SoundToys Crystallizer granular synth altered compositions and then pieces were put through tape delays and covered in reverb before being processed again with the Crystallizer. “One of the things we talked about was the idea of ‘more human than human,’” Wallfisch says. “When you’re creating, you play a chord, and then all these machines take care of this extraordinary, strange, replicant-style advancement of something acoustic.”

    but they have nothing to do with each other...
    first is in core a braas sample (a good one) and the second is a neuro funk bassline...

    when you interessted in bass and grit and analog and digital...forget bout herr zimmer.....

    get a few good braams sample...and layer some noise,grit and shizzle together ....
    get into serious soundesign workshops and such

    for second check noisia they have pretty much content out there where say talk bout their technics

    I love Noisia. Ok I look for some stuff with them.

    You know some good sound design tips, articles, video tutorials?
    For example I know Rob Papen secrets of subtractive synthesis but it's more fundamentals stuff.
    Where looking for advanced sound design techniques and other synthesis like granular, fm, additive etc.?
    Only professional workshops have sense? Nothing else?
    For example I like reverse engineering of presets.

    but the first example of hans is a 100 sure a braams sample in the core

    gyros right there bramms samples and also to get noisia tupe sounds start with simple sub sine saw waves and automate frequency bands on distortion units like fabfilter saturn there not that hard to make fundementally just take time to do. or just do what theyve been doing recenatally when there getting a bit lazy in the sound desighn department and use serum

    Try highly detuned supersaws with lots of foldback distortion
