Ja Pelham is a moron. Sueing the shit out of others for illegal downloading his songs (I ask myself who is doing this anyway:winker:), but in his early years he didn't give a shit about sampling others. Hypocrite. Well deserved.

The only positive I remember he did was, in 1997 he gave Stefan Raab (german TV-Producer and also an asshole) a headnut and broke his nose bone after the Echo Music Prize Ceromony :knock:

Is it possible to just feel honoured and flattered if someone samples your work and leave it at that? There is a saying in English, 'the highest form of flattery is immitation.'

If someone has to copy your work to create their art, the public's reaction will be that the copycat is either honouring the original creator, giving the original creator a nod of appreciation, or is demonstrating that he is less skilled than the original creator, resulting in humiliation for the copycat.

Kraftwerk are one of the most sampled artists. 10 Songs here that sampled Kraftwerk:

This is not sampling, these are composer rights of a song.

Correct...same as the song "Talk" by "Coldplay"...before they released the song which has the same lead melody as "Computerlove" from "Kraftwerk" but played with guitars they asked Ralf Hütter and he listened to their song and liked it. And so he said "OK, buddies release it".

BTW...In 1981 a big german Music magazine declared "Computerlove" to the song of the year with the most beautiful and harmonic lead melody!

When I'm driving in my car and the instrumental part at nearly the exact the middle of the song starts I'm always going nuts, playing virtual Keyboard at my cockpit and jumping around on my seat. Other car drivers who watch me at this moment must think I'm on drugs or totally drunken! :break:

Kraftwerk - Computer Love (go to 03:20min)

Coldplay - Talk (go to 02:42min)
