If I didn't have a DAW I wouldn't be editing music & I would've lost interest already seeing as I suck at piano. DAWs make editing so easy, quick, and affordable.

AS wouldn't be the same without an occasional spurt of Fosturbation. It would be like ice cream without the headache, or a swimming pool without a floating Band-Aid. Not natural. :)

  6. A striking resemblance between "What we make with our DAWs" and "the Urban Dictionary":

The Internet is now the go-to source for information and on-line reference replaces traditional print. There is quantity, but the question for users must be, is there also quality? The primary on-line slang dictionary, the Urban Dictionary, is created by its users. Its list of headwords runs into millions, its etymologies and definitions are based on a display of rival icons—thumbs-up or thumbs-down— which display the users’ opinions on what has been included. There is no editorial judgement of the accuracy and pertinence of these opinions, and thus no attempt to impose the level of authority that traditionalists would say should be expected of a dictionary if it is to be of real use. In many case the words submitted, several thousand a day, represent nonce-uses, the terminology of an individual or a small group. Urban Dictionary represents, some would claim, the wisdom of the crowd; critics would suggest its futility.

You may as well just stay and use that name rather than coming back again using another name...again, besides, a lot of guys here were upset and sad to hear that you were leaving without making a Why I Am Leaving Audiosex For A Week While I Think Of A New Alias thread.:winker:

Regarding the topic of the thread, what do you think you would do if you didn't have DAWs and sequencers?

I'll step it out further ...Electronically produced comments like this are banal. And didn't touch my soul.

  11. I'll answer this question at the end of this thread (if such thing is conceivable).
All the forces outside of the music world (social, political, historical, etc.) must be removed. This is the first step to make the art genuine. Trends are the products of those exterior forces and interlopers that impose themselves on the the music's quiddity and spirit.

There's something familiar about that statement, reminds me of someone but I'm not sure who it is, it'll come back to me eventually, when it does....I'll be back! [IMG]

 I would have to use my korg d3200 to record something and make all presets on the hardware synths... the good thing about it would be that my bass and guitar would not just lay around so much. I barely touch it since I discovered grooveboxes long time ago. crazy how tech has changed and with the music and making music. crazy. no knows what a scale is anymore :dunno: and we were educated like real oldschool. when you reach the age of seven you grab the flute, then later another instrument and I had to sing in a choir of course omg glad I switched to Kontakt libraries lol
