Hi guys, thought i'd introduce myself too.. Lets call me Bob, its close enough to my real name ;) Im 24 years old and live in Australia. I'm more of a computer kinda guy (programmer/analyst) at heart but thanks to my cousin who is "religiously" into music, i found myself picking up a keyboard as i found it such a wonderful instrument that can reproduce/play any sound or other instrument as long as you have a sample of it. So this is what got me into all this.. the sample searching.. always on the look for high quality awesomeness. My cousin is more into the Balkan type of music and has been in a band a while now and plays many Macedonian functions.. be they weddings, christenings, balls etc.. So i started off looking for Balkan type samples for him (as im the guy you come to when you need computer related stuff ) which wasn't so easy as not many companies sample the kind of instruments used in the Macedonian style music. Stuff like the Gajda (close to a bagpipe) celski tapan, kaval etc to name a few.. in the end he had to resort to getting samples off musicians overseas himself. However some Gypsy samples proved good to. It was at this point i realized the power of the keyboard and the vast amounts of sounds/samples it can play and immediately picked up a cheap midi controller for myself. You can express yourself in so many ways with music.. its wonderful, and this is why i love it so much. I myself am more into the classical sounding stuff.. more so the sad pieces in movie soundtracks, always gives me goosebumps when you hear something good. Clint Mansell, Hans Zimmer, Ronald Jenkees, Nobuo Uematsu and Yanni are a few inspirations of mine to name a few. Well i think ill leave it at that as it seems i've gone on quite a ramble again.. Nice to meet you guys.
Ola I'm vince aka "logger" Audiozer for a while and glad to see this board and participate Thx to all and a special one to Saint
