Been trying to get the grand piano tone from this Korg Grandstage and I know I can't replicate it exactly with MIDI/VST but I just want to get it as close as possible. I have Keyscape, CFX Grand Piano, Alicia Keys, The Giant, and a ton of waves, fabfilter, izotope, ect. so if you can think of a combination I can likely re-create it.

I know a lot of you have the ear to help me on this one, I can't seem to match the richness/warmth combination as well as the silky smoothness of it. Keyscape's C7 - Rich Ballad with some EQ'ing and widening is the closest I've come so far.

 

Sometimes you don't like my answer. To sound like him. You have to play the piano like him. I am not a pianist. I think that with so many vst you have, you should be able to find that sound. I've tried simply with PIANOTEQ or Addictive Keys and they work well for me.

 

I definitely agree, he's a classically trained jazz pianist so his technique and voicings are pretty impeccable even though it sounds like a simple song. I do love that Korg polish and richness but I should be working on my technical ability before I start obsessing over the tiny details of the tone.
