Damned, I feel that I going for a lesson haha.
Well, here's the snares I have chosen, for the time being, for my beat. I don't know... I just don't want overcompressed snares or reverb to add an effect of size to the snare. I think I just need more hard hitting drum.

You surely wonder how short a snare sounds in an open field. There's a good reason why people add room and ambient reverb or ERs.

This first one is pretty hard, the second not that much.

 

The answer to the Secret Crates issue should be obvious--how does one know what is in a pack?
I have no control over how you feel, and as per you actually being stupid, I wouldn't have any clue on that since I don't know you; all I know is that those snares are awful and I doubt that they're what he's going for. (The electronic drums bit, for those new to the thread, was referring to a post of his that was deleted, since it had a links to some terrible drums.) There's a big difference between Boom Bap/Classic Hip Hop drums and LoFi/impossible-to-mix-well drums. I'm not comin at you, the quality of drums that you posted is just poor, in my less-than-humble opinion (though it would be many peoples opinion.) I'm not going to pretend they're awesome. But, remember, opinions are like assholes...you need to be sure that you keep them clean, and *always use soap.

 

This version was new to me. I always thought it goes ... everybody has one, but you don't need to share it.

You mean something warm & gritty that sparks your soul? Go grab a couple Funk/Soul vinyls from the 70s and layer that shit.

 

I can rip on Trap all day, but there may not be anything funnier than blatantly quantized, synthetic cowbells in a any number of old Hip Hop cuts.

Eventually you will have a cluster**ck of Samples so large and disorganized you wont know what to do with your self.

Sampling is a fun and helpful practice. See if you cant grab those snares your self rite off records you like.
as far as stuff "Bumping" like you want.
