I just found a weird issue. If you uninstall Neutron 3, whether it is R2R or VR version, your computer will remove Toontrack and IKmultimedia products as well. I had to re-install them since I uninstall Neutron 3.
    Werid..

Yes, I use Revo Unistaller mostly and BC uninstaller sometimes. Is it related? It happens with only Neutron 3. I have never experienced it before.

I dunno, but it happens with only Neutron 3 somehow.

  7. In order to know that both VR and R2R cause this issue you must have uninstalled at least twice and reinstalled at least twice.

If the uninstaller is uninstalling other vendor's products it must run their dedicated uninstallers for them, and it must visible to you when it does so.

Or, the N3 unistaller is removing a critical component, such as a VC runtime, that leaves the other vendors' products intact but disfunctional. So you need to describe the remove you are seeing in more detail.

I am ok. Just re-installed Toontrack and IKmultimedia products and they worked fine.

Sorry, but I am not sure what you are talking about.

  11. I'm glad to hear it. That wasn't the question I was trying to ask. After uninstalling N3 were the other plugins completely uninstalled? Were the the other plugs removed from their normal locations?

How did you uninstall Neutron? Stock Windows uninstaller, dedicated start menu entry, third party uninstaller app,...?

  13. He said:

I can't see how this could happen unless there's an issue with a shared library, say a VC Runtime, being pulled by the N3 unistaller. In that case it's iZotope's bad, as the OP claims both hacking groups output has the same flaw. I can't see R2R and VR both independently creating exactly the same bug in which case it's iZotope's bug.

Or, there's something pathalogically wrong with the OP's set up.

I don't think it uninstalled the other plugins completely as I was able to see the folders were still there. Just part of them were removed, but I was lazy to check them in detail. To save time, I just re-installed them. Much faster.

If you're not cautious with Revo uninstaller, you can easily remove some files shared by many applications when you click on the "scan" button after it has removed the main setup.
If you click on "scan" don't delete all the files it offers without checking what it is exactly.

I didn't realize it had a risk. I'd better use Windows default uninstaller for VST from now. Thanks!

Butting in, just an association. It just may be something doing w/ the registry. I know Kontakt, Waves and Arturia somehow share the same Native Instruments CurrentUser/LocalMachine registry branches. I've always wondered about this and been meaning to post a question concerning it but in this case my suggestion is, maybe the deal about iZotope, Toontrack and IKMultimedia is they install kind of similarly, sharing registry locations, with an uninstall through, for instance, the Revo scrubber of one affecting all three, registry-wise? Not knowing, just suggesting ...

  18. OK That makes sense, and it sounds like a generic unistall problem with Neutrino, rather than a specific crack issue as both crack groups wouldn't create the same mistake. I'll set up a sandpit and try it out and see if I can replicate the issue.
