I have removed the video link, maybe that will help alleviate some of the controversy surrounding this. Im sorry, I will not edit the America the Beautiful or National Anthem themes at the end of the piece, that is part of the original work.

If you have questions on the work, or technical aspects of the video (which can be found on the soundcloud page of the track), or how the music does or does not relate to the video, those, I am interested in, otherwise, please refrain from commenting on how good or bad America is or political discussions.

This is about technical work, not political views. Please respect the Audiosex rules, and more importantly, my wishes in this regard.

Which libs?

 

Vienna Special Edition 1-6 (those sweet sweet strings at the beginning and near the end, and those sweet woodwind chirps in the third verse, and nearly all the percussion). To help with Vienna brass, which doesnt cut through a mix as well as I wish it did, I used Orchestral Tools Brass, and Jaeger for layering the horns at the end. I used Cinesamples for the woodblocks heard in the third verse Oh, and Cinematic Studio Strings for the Appassionata strings heard in the 2nd verse, the ascending melody at the key change, and the stuff near the end I used them as well. How could I forget, Dominus choir is used in the beginning and in the back half of the first verse, and I used Albion 1 to layer with the strings at the beginning.

48 tracks in total, 47 gb of ram that Ensemble was using to have all that loaded in memory.

Nope, just an amateur, been doing this for about a year now, written under a dozen complete pieces.

 

People who devote their lives for the world peace, justice and advancement from any country deserve gratitude and the art is a great medium for that.

I dont agree with every war America has been involved in, and we certainly failed to live up to the quote I used from the Declaration of Independence many times in our history.

Having said that, this piece isnt about pushing for war, it is about honoring those who fought and sacrificed for this country and remembering the ideals that those sacrifices were made for, or if you prefer, the ideals those sacrifices should have been made for.

This is not a piece making a political statement, there is nothing controversial about this piece, at least, there shouldnt be, it wasnt written to make any sort of a political statement.

I am really not interested in anything other than the technical aspects. No offense to everyone here, but if I were interested in political commentary, I get plenty of that on Facebook, CNN, and bumper stickers.

 

I subscribe to your view and appreciate it.

But unfortunately the problem is that most martyrdoms are for political or religious faiths and less other things.

 

Politics aside, you do see how OP turned sample libraries into something that sounds so realistic they probably had to pay union dues after completing don't you?

 

@littlewierdo You turned this thread into a political discussion by replying to the messages that you thought were political. All you needed to do was report them as off-topic and political. It was that simple.
