new toys-EWI, multi-channel trigger to MIDI converter, Looper stomp box, Vocal transformer, power conditioner, Bass stomp box to change it to synth sounds. Got a Nord and resonator guitar a couple months ago. New Se electronics Voodoo 2 ribbon mic on the way. I'm sure I left something out. My poor aching bank account. Cash poor but asset rich is OK if I can play it or twist it's knobs.https://audiosex.pro/threads/up-my-signal-chain.45471/

I have a feeling you've posted this a bit hastily. :) I can definitely get some of your excitement from it. Anyway, new toys usually spark creativity. Enjoy, mate!

Nord lead 1,2,3,4? Roland VT-4? What stomp box? ....do explain in detail. Pics would be great! :winker: My most recent purchases were another pair of IK Multimedia iLoud speakers for downstairs kitchen PC, and an Earthquaker Devices Plumes pedal. (both in the mail)

Details and pics coming. I'll pm you when it's here. Nord electro 6 D. Roland VT is correct. You win a prize. Looper is a TC-Helicon, Trgger converter is DDrum DDDi. SYB 5 Bass guitar to synth sounds stomp box, had to buy 2 more pedals for the Nord, already had a sustain. Power conditioner is an ART. Have had very good luck with their things. Can't wait to try the Voodoo ribbon mic....so sexy!https://dt7v1i9vyp3mf.cloudfront.ne...oodoo_02-iWBVABh5HXrpyd5cRvdloEujLNOJxqox.jpg

Sound gear, sound gear,... unless tapping my table with my brand new lighter qualifies....

    Mine's pretty humongous too...

Now seriously, it's cool, enjoy it and make music tough the enjoying part is the most important.

My Fathead hit the floor pretty hard once, didn't seem to hurt it, but dented the grill. Ribbons are a little more sturdy than they used to be, but still-DON'T BLOW IN THE MIC-If I sing in one I use a windscreen and off from the side and add a SD condenser for extra high end. I love the sound of Fig. 8 if isolation is not a problem. This one is active and has more top. I expect it to sound like a dream and Se Electronics employs one of my heroes--- Rupert Neve.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Neve

I'm getting itchy fingers for some new toys lately...

That mic looks interesting. Ribbons have become quite popular lately. Hopefully it is not as fragile as ribbons usually are.

Ok, If you show me yours, I'll show you mine. Maybe there is something I can send you. Some sort of care package. And thank you very much for your support over the years.

Your wholeheartedly welcome, mi amigo, and thanks for your's. :winker:

Now you've done it and have me totally gassing for this SE Voodoo albeit in the passive version as I have a Triton Audio Fethead that I can cleanly boost my preamps if need be (the Daking has plenty of quiet juice, for instance). The good/bad thing is that I can pick up one locally-ish for only 329 buckaroons including tax, and it's in stock.

    I really need this!

Somebody please help me or just put me out of my misery, I am in GAS crisis and am spinning 'round and 'round and 'round on the pinwheel of confusion:woot:.

    I need this:guru:.

I don' really need any possesions, except a supply of Ensure and cat food and litter. My needs are few, but my wants......hmm. So no, I don't need it, but what the hell. Loves me some transducers. I'm a musician 1st and engineer 2nd, but I have a lot of experience in the studio with some of the best mics in the world, got me hooked. I use my CloudLifter or ART pre-amp an my Cascade Fathead II. This Active mic doesn't need it. Lots of signal and has high end, but ribbons capture the textue of distortion and bowed string instruments particularly well. Hard to describe in scientific terms. has a wide field and a diferent feel for depth.

I don't hink you can get real absinth in the US. Put a little fentanyl in your cognac. That will do it.
