    Hello friends,
I now have access to a set of speakers mentioned in the title. Are they good for music production, mixing and mastering ? Do they change the sound in ways that could negatively affect the mixing process ? Are these gonna be OK or do I have to keep looking for "reference" speakers ?

    Thanks

Have you already checked the dB Technologies Bi-Amped Stereo System with subwoofer?

Tbh, I've never seen these and didn't even know of them. But, according to the specs, I'd say they're neither good for mixing, nor for mastering.
I've the impression these are meant for a rehearsal room or a party.
What wondered me most is the freq response +/-3dB 68Hz -19kHz. This is way less than any common 8'' near field has.

These are the speakers that my local marching band uses for rehearsal

Thanks for the info. Am I better off using my AKG K92 headphones then? There's also a chance that I could have access to a pair of KRK ROKIT 6, are these any good ?

Not really, but they are affordable and available at every guitar center , good honest monitors in that price bracket...yamaha MSP series, equator D series, Kali audio, presonus eris series, Alternatively save a little extra cash and get a set of Dynaudio 2nd hand and never worry about monitoring again. Though to be honest its all a bit of a fools errand in an untreated room, in which case you are probably better off sticking with a decent set of headphones

Everything is correct. And to add something, I wouldn't go below 500€ per speaker. Monitors make a big jump in quality if you go above the 1000€ mark.

I would suggest Neumann KH120A for mixing. For mastering you can ad another 5k. Maybe Lipinski.

Tbh, I don't think these will work for mxing and mastering either. You'll need more neutral HP.
If you can afford it, I'd recommend AKG K701 or K702 for ~ 130€. Open backs and muuuch more balanced.

No offense mate, but I think for someone who uses ~ 30€ headphones, this may be 'a bit' too expensive.

Man, music production can be a very expensive hobby.
