looking for someone to custom build pc in south jersey/philly area for me for about a $600 budget. I mainly use kontakt, omnisphere keyscape, arturia and other vst plugins. I dont do any recording on a daw. I use my mac's logic x and a slave pc via vienna ensemble pro. maybe all i really need is a faster hard drive or a little better cpu,but id like to get a new pc anyway. im not to cpu literate i just like playing keyboards and want my samples to load faster and vst's to work with no problems. any help will be greatly appreciated. im also willing to try and put one together myself but would need to know that everything is compatible

do you want? this for recording/ live or both, you can build a pretty decent pc for running soft synths / Kontakt, etc with. slightly older technology that you can get pretty cheap. on eBay or craigslist if you. don't mind trudging through. the douchebaggery that lives there.

elements you will need aside from the PC itself
    1. asio Audio interface (Audio out from PC)
    2. midi over LAN or RTPmidi ( to send midi signal via lan cable from our mac)
    3. 1gig lan spliter/router.

PC ( using my current set up as an example)
Gigabyte 990fx Gaming (100.00 or less)
AMD FX 8350 cpu. (100.00 or less)
Cpu Cooler ( AM3+ compatible Bigger is better as AMDs run hot) 50.00 - 100.00
650watt or more power supply 100.00 or less
    16 gig ram 75-150
    ATI/AMD graphics card 50 to 100
    Monitor ( up to you)
I do recommend SSD, they just make stuff MUCH smother
data drive for libraries use a drive made for an NAD they have great throughput

all this stuff you can probably get much cheaper on eBay or whatever I'm just ballparking to show you it can be done.

use what ever daw you want even the freeware Cubase will work great for just for softsynths.

hope that gives you an idea for the budget you requested

1st thank you for the reply
do you want? this for recording- no,its just for home use playing along with songs i like
. asio Audio interface - i use only headphones coming out of my mac and slave pc for samples and vst
midi over LAN or RTPmidi- use a ethernet direct from my mac to pc,saw a good youtube video on how to
i really think, from what ive read, that the hard drive is the key like SSD as you said
any specific SSD's names you could recommend
    NAD - what is it?

I'm pretty sure it was a typo
    "AND they have great throughput"

Also could possibly be referring to a drive designed for NAS - "network attached storage"

You'd be surprised how easy it is to build a pc. I know this because im an utter moron compared to a lot of the guys on here but i managed it without issue.

Go to pcpartpicker.com and build around your budget. Buy your parts from newegg, eBay, amazon if you have prime, etc.

The only thing that really requires any care is making sure you don't accidentally zap the mobo with static electricity or some shit. Just work on a hard surface and ground yourself with the metal case.

This. With a little bit of research on youtube you could easily build your own PC.

NAD is a typo! I meant NAS Drives, high capacity drives built for RAID arrays but alone are very good for media. IE Libraries for Kontakt, samples, etc

You need an Asio audio interface for the audio coming out of the PC!!! ASIO cards deal with. audio much more efficiently than then "on board" audio cards. unless you. just wanna play one thing at a time and nothing too CPU heavy i really would suggest it.

I use nothing but Samsung SSD they are available in. either "EVO" or "PRO". evo being the cheaper version but for your purposes will probably be ok.
