I probably found the error in monos skin. Will test it later.
There now is a shortcut added for some options and the skin doesn't have these new shortcuts included.

On the left side is the skinned object and on the right side the unskinned original object with that shortcut.
Will see if I simply can add the missing shortcuts.

 

Good timeing im not sure what way CannonMadeThaBeat added the skin colors.
Maybe he use an old vesrion rc data and copy all the changes removing what was there and adding what was not.
@CannonMadeThaBeat if you can let us know what you did the skin ? it could help find any more errors.

Sorry but fl is been updated soon so its a wast of time doing it for this version
it could even be updated before this other skin is fixed lol
There is also lots of things we can't recolor anymore
like the blocks ,zoom ,mixer sliders,browser, eq box,about 40 things we be missing
so it will not look as good if its ever remade.

OK, fixed Mono's skin to get the "Alt + M" Mute function working.
Also added an update for robertdgray's Themes including his themed PluginManager.

That's quite simple. You just create an nfo file and place it in the same place where your folder is.
You have to name it exactly as the folders name you want to recolor. After that you set its attributes to "hidden"
so that nfo file doesn't show up in fl studio.



In this nfo file you write the following data:

Tip=whatever you want to be shown as info when hovering over the folder inside of fl studio
ColIndex=6
IconIndex=23
SortGroup=2

With ColIndex you change the color. You have to try a bit, don't know exactly what number stays for what color.
With IconIndex you change the displayed folder icon (also try that on your own)
SortGroup defines where your folder will be placed in FL's browser (on top, in the middle, below the default folders, etc)

And if you want to add more informations, just take a look at all the other hidden nfo files in the FL Studio folders.
They contain alot of more entries to try.

You also can change the color using delphi color codes in the nfo files.
I for example used color=$00C5177A to change the color of "My Projects" to purple.





Maybe there's also a way to rename that childish "My Projects" into something else. I mean there was a way
when FL Engine wasn't protected by VMP3 back in the nice days but maybe it also works somehow with the nfo files.

You also can hide unwanted folders by adding Visible=False to the nfo file. I did that to folders I never used like the Soundfonts
and stuff like that. Therefore I just edited the existing nfo files in the FL Studio program files folder.

Included is a Selector for Midnight skin from mono for v20.1.2

That file mirrors the RCData from the original FLengine.dll which makes all the colors editable again that are set there! I think it works like some kind of portable version of the original dll. It should be put next to the original. To get FL to use the Flengine.rus file, you need to register it in the windows registry and that's what the FL_fix_res.reg file is for. There should be an info file as well, which explains how everything works.

The theme selector does all these steps for you. When you use it, there's no need to download the skins separately. It has a nice graphical interface and even let's you preview the different Skins before you choose one

 

Hey r4e, could you add the default theme with the original blue buttons like in FL12?

Yes, just scroll down to last option and select "Go back to default theme" to restore to default.
