    Hello again folks,
a seemingly simple question, but it gets tricky with every fancy Waves update,
which plugins to install to get "everything"?

    apparently Mercury doesn't include:
    SSL 4000 Collection
    Abbey Road Collection
    Dugan Automixer + Speech
    Waves NX
Infected Mushroom Pusher is not in any bundle
then some stuff in new Inspire Virtual Collection
and the latest Abbey Road Studio 3 is not included in any bundle
on top of that, Pro Show bundle seems to exclude some of the "garbage" Waves

can anyone tell which components to install then? dragging everything seems like kinda bruteforce solution to me...

    ps: I'm on MacOS

Just use the R2R versions, easy as, just press install.
Their last release was back in February, use that until their next release, which shouldn't be too far away, assuming there will be a next release.

Just a side note, if you want to install everything you will probably end up wasting a lot of time. Picking just the essentials is worth it and you'll spend way less time messing around and more time making music.

I told you the other day to stop reading my mind when we talk and then coming over here, answering member questions with my thoughts as if they were your own.

@tzzsmk If you install a non-r2r release, and in the future want to use an update by r2r you will have to uninstall and clean up your house. Some of the plugins you said are not included, already are found in the latest r2r release. Moreover, do you really need the latest Abbey Road or the Mushroom Pusher or you just want them because they are the latest? As I said through @Daz (the mind reader) use the latest r2r for now. With that said, I want to inform you that I know 4 members using the latest non-r2r versions of Waves without any issues.

Yeah the VR versions work fine too, I temporarily installed a VR version for testing purposes, for guys that want most or all of the plugs, you can go write a novel while it installs, whereas the R2R version is a much quicker install and doesn't use Waves Central.
Pros and cons for both versions, if you want all or most of the plugs, use R2R version, if you only want a select few use the VR version, as you can select what you want at the beginning of the install, with the R2R version you have to delete what you don't want after install.

I'm on MacOS, R2R don't do Waves for that

not a problem, on SSD it takes about same time as comfortably drinking an espresso, and Reaper scans plugins blazing fast

as mentioned above, no R2R for MacOS anyway,
and I don't "need" them, I wanna test them in cleanest possible way (I may even delete them within demo period lol)

no VR Waves for MacOS as far as I know

I just noticed your signature, but next time best to mention your OS in the post, oh well, some handy info here for Windows guys anyway.

well, I do happen to have Win10 LTSC 2019 on another drive, but honestly my overall experience with Windows 10 as a workstation OS is disappointing, I rarely use it only when I want to play some games

It's not an issue of installation time. It's an issue of "which one to pick this time, hmm let's try this" and swapping plugins around for no real difference in sound.

If you want everything to work aka CLAMixhub, Sheps Omni Channel, and StudioRacks. You'll to download 2 different releases. Get the one from imac-ruslan dated 5-16 and gonbi release on 5-14.

The way I got everything to work for me was

1.install the release from gonbi dated 5-14 (do not patch with this releases provided patches or keygen)
    2. Open the imac-ruslan release (don't know why he didn't just provide the patch instead of downloading the whole release)
    3. Open the patch.dmg (this file specifically)
    4. Replace the waveslicenceengine.bundle
    5. Patch using the keygen in the patch.dmg

Everything should would then. This is the only known method to have everything working on Mac.

    Hopefully this helps
