    First Things First: Thank You!
Hi everybody, and thank you for being an important part of the journey that Plugin Alliance was fortunate enough to go through in the past few years. It's a cliché phrase, but it's true: we couldn't have done it without you! The last 12 months were the most exciting and successful times we have ever had, and we know from your feedback on social media that you enjoy using more and more of our plugins as they become more affordable these days.

Since the opening of the Plugin Alliance in January 2012 the landscape for developing and marketing professional music software has changed quite a lot. We have seen new brands come and succeed, and we have seen once-established companies disappear. Pricing and marketing of plugins have changed drastically over the last few years. Hobby producers and semi-pros have the chance today to use the same tools that are being used by the Top 10 producers in LA, New York, London and elsewhere. Which is great!

In the past few months we have put a lot of thoughts about the future of Plugin Alliance. How can we keep things exciting for you - and sustainable for everybody involved professionally. What kind of tools, toys and services would you be interested in going forward, and how can we make those new shiny things available to as many fans and friends around the globe. From the FOH console of a MUSE show in a soccer stadium (see my post in our Facebook Plugin Alliance Audiophiles Group from today) straight into your own studio or rehearsal room.

    The NEW Plugin Alliance
So what's new then? Well, the most obvious thing you can see at plugin-alliance.com right now is that we have NEW, lower prices for many established plugins. Not as part of a short time promo, but permanently. These new prices combined with our ongoing Dynamic Discounts will enable you to relax a bit and get a lot of the plugins you really want at great pricing anytime, not just during 24H flash sales.

Of course we'll keep on sending loyal customers monthly vouchers, which should further help you to stock up on amazing plugins used in the biggest studios and on the biggest stages.

Then, we have a whole wave of - wait for it - NEW and fantastic releases coming! The first announcements will start in just a few days, please stay tuned. This will be the biggest launch campaign we have ever had, and there will be more than a dozen new plugins from both, our existing partners, and from several NEW Alliance partners in July and August. We're talking about some of the biggest names in pro-audio, including some completely new plugins, and some existing titles that have never before been available for native multi-platform systems...

A hint for our PickPack customers as well: We'll have some really awesome NEWS for you this week. More on that very soon.

Also, we're constantly working on improving our system and adding new services for you, so expect a NEW version of our Installation Manager and other technologies very soon.

Finally, we're working towards a NEW web site right now which will make it easier than ever to use and get a hold of our plugins. Expect the first new features mid July.

Thank you for your attention everybody, and if you have questions you know you can talk directly to me in our Facebook group. Please understand that I am trying my best to answer as many posts and questions as possible, but since at this point it is literally hundreds of thousands of you and just one of me...

Best wishes, happy mixing, and have a great week.
We'll be in touch again shortly!

    Dirk & the PA Team

You don't say... PA may have finally caught on that asking $250-300 for a bunch of fairly standard (if great sounding) eqs and compressors is likely to drive away a lot of potential customers. I like PA but FFS.

Brainworx and elysia are excellent, but uhe and boz are just as good and charge half as much.

what if the UA plugins are crossing over to native format through PA?

    that would be awesome.

i wrote PA a few weeks ago about them making a tape plugin. seems to be the only vst they haven't done.

all they said was stay tuned.

Well, they recently lost Vertigo Sound. Their boss stated on gearslutz "I'd rather not talk about it" or something like that when asked why their new comp wasn't being released through PA. Hey, let's speculate and make up conspiracy theories!

Just interesting what focusrite and bx did.
Because all plugin releases by focusrite (compressors, eqs for examle) are the same. Just GUIs and names of plugins are different.
But match settings on these compressors or eqs, invert phase and the null to -inf dB. Means that they release new stuff with old unchanged DSP code with new name and GUI.
Red, scarlett, sapphire... All the same..

so the word is some of the exclusivity contracts have expired with some dev companies & UA.

won't get into what might be released in the coming days/weeks, but apparently, minds will be blown!

I've listened a quick demo of the Shadows Hill compressor and I'm not impressed.I'm not planning to try the demo.
For me the SPL Iron sounds far better and warmer.

So you can decide if a plugin is good or not by listening to demos?

    Hi everybody!

Today we have discontinued our PickPack Rent-To-Own model!
Let me give you the Good News for all ACTIVE PickPackers first:

If your PickPack plan was cancelled by us today - and we have cancelled ALL active plans a few minutes ago - you now OWN all 10 plugins you originally selected in your Pick Pack. Full and unlimited licenses. This one is on us!

No further payments will be deducted from your credit card or PayPal, even if you have just started PickPack recently. Whatever the remaining balance for your PickPack plan would have been, this is our gift to you.

    Please note:
If YOU have cancelled your Pick Pack in the past (or stopped paying, which is technically the same), you will unfortunately NOT get your 10 plugins as full licenses. We hope you understand.

Now, why did we stop PickPacking?

Something bigger, more flexible and ultimately better is coming July 15th! A few days ago we have already started to improve the Dynamic Discounts for those of you who love to simply buy plugins, and we have lowered many plugin prices recently as well. So buying plugins will be more affordable in between promotions from now on. Buy 6 plugins, get 60% off any day of the week, for example.

Then - and this will be the main news next week! - we are about to launch a totally new system, which will enable each and everyone of you out there to use large numbers of our titles at really affordable pricing!

We are sure you have seen some of the NEW plugins we are releasing July 15th. Lots of new brands, and a total of 14 new plugins to be released in July and August.

We have seen many of you commenting on social media, worrying about how you will be able to access all of these plugins without breaking the bank. Don't worry, we've got you.

We will present you with the Deal Of Your Lifetime next week!

Over time, our portfolio has grown to 100+ plugins from 28 brands, and we are determined to make ALL of them available to as many people as possible, and as fair and affordable as possible, of course.

    Please stay tuned!
