Hi guys.

I guess you can say I'm a bit of a noob although I am a bit familiar with edm production. I'm working on a project at the moment and I want to get a certain sound out of the vocals. It might not be the best example but if you have the vocoder extension on Nexus that is more or less the sound I want. I've tried different vocoders and also NI's The mouth but they all make the vocals blurry and unclear, even with tons of tweaking and eq'ing. If anyone can help me with this I would be forever grateful. I've attached a file so that you can hear the sound I so desperately want to achieve. THANK U FOR UR HELP

UPDATE : Got my hands on a copy of Bitspeek and it did wonders, I also layered the vocals as suggested one wet one dry and now things are really coming together. A BIG THANK U FOR ALL UR HELP GUYS

If its too blurry or unclear, adjust the dry/wet mix? Or export vocals clean and again with the vocoder, mix the 2 how you like.

Not being rude, but I just assumed youre new to this, hence my n00by answer.

 

Some vocoders add a bit of the original vocal with a hi-passs filter to just catch the sibilants which can add to inteligibility.

Personally I have a digitech Talker which is great when set up properly. Came out in '98. Dunno how much they go for 2nd hand.

edit*** but listening to your Wav, Bitspeek is perfect for what you need. **

 

man ive been looking for a windows version bitspeek forever lol it sounds great

there are alot of alternatives free plugs but they never work as well and as easy as bitspeek is supposed to
