    Hi all

I'm looking at purchasing flstudio 20 for a new windows10 pc
I'm looking at producer vs signature edition

Can anyone please tell me which one they prefer and why.

.. and the million dollar question.
has anyone purchased one of the above editions and had any problems installing the "additional VSTs " that we all get from other sites.

    Thanks

I don't use FL Studio myself but looked into it a while back.

Producer is the basic version which also includes the capability to record audio, which the "Fruity Edition" lacks. It also has a bunch of plugins that are missing from the Fruity Edition. The Signature Bundle contains a bunch of the plugins that are most commonly used by FL Studio users, including a few decent synths. IMO if you did look into FL Studio demo and decided you liked it, I think the additional 100$ are well spent and you should get the signature bundle. Considering you get free updates for life, it's worth it.

Image-Line rarely has sales but I heard of a trick. You can enter your birthday on the site, and on your birthday they'll send you a voucher for a discount in the shop. I don't know if this still works though, I got that info about a year ago.

Please take all of the above with a grain of salt. Would be cool to have actual FL users chime in, in case I made a mistake or in case they disagree.

I did look at the comparison.
However the grass always looks greener on the other side( eg company websites)
I would like to know peoples personal experience.

.. not to mention, any compatibility issue with a legit fl and the plugins people get from other sources.. craked

@rah i first purchased the producer edition an eventually bought the upgrade to signature because of the extra plugins like grossbeat and sytrus as saying instead of paying 200 more i would save about 90 bucks at the time . in the end i barely used the additional plugins cause i kept on buying more and more plugins or other plugins i had prior to it did exactly the same things. Now ive never had any issues with other plugins except for some minor issues with AIR plugins such as xpand2! Etc which i gained through my sound card i had to run cracks of them to be stable for awhile until the problem was fixed as well as omnisphere 2.5 when it was first released there was a crash. As of Fl 20 no issues have come up so in the ends its up to you if you plan on using the extra plugins other than that they function the same. Good luck and happy purchase

The producer edition is enough for the beginning.
You also are able to use all the included plugins in demo mode, which allows you to play with them but prevents you from saving
projects with these plugins. But there's a little trick - you can create a sound with 'em and then record the sound as wav.
Then you delete the demo plugin and you're able to save your project with your created sound.

If you then somehow start to like the extra plugins, you still can upgrade but if you don't it was a waste of money
to start with the signature bundle. I for example only use Harmor sometimes and for everything else I've bought other
plugins from other companies. Back in the days I used Sytrus alot but I replaced it with Serum & FM8 and never really
used it again. Also don't like the new vectorial gui of serum - it just looks uncreative to me now.

The only difference is the plugins, if you dont need them than producer is fine

with todays plugins like Serum and even good ole Silent they are very capable of replacing a myriad of image line plugins as far as synths go, couple those with FabFilter, Kickstart your pretty much set provided you know how to utilize the plugins
