Incredible deal: This controler is currently selling for $199 at Sweetwater!

What could possibly be the catch?

i can't tell for sure from the ebay listing, but this may not include the free copy of fl studio 20 fruity edition ($99).

i would say this is an incredible deal for people who like using fl studio (i don't).

 

...and I'm not planning to leave Studio One anytime soon, at least not for FL Studio I guess.
I wish they were doing a similar sale for the Atom controler...

 

I personally never use FLS as a DAW. I use it as a sequencer, and rewire those ideas (or even just bounce down) into a DAW to continue production and eventually mixing. Hell of a tool.

 

The catch is it'll only work with hip hop. :D

I thought the same thing, as I got the same damn email from the guy. Utter garbage. If I find something at a Target or Walmart or Best Buy and a whole row of them are priced incorrectly, than they honor the price. It was their mistake. In any case, I called eBay. A foreign man who was hard to understand answered. Virtually no help at all, and told me that "yes they can do that as sometimes a seller can enter the wrong price." That was literally his answer. He said they can't guarantee items, but they can guarantee our money back. Makes sense, but I'm not even sure the guy understood the issue, as he didn't really ask questions and the conversation lasted but 2 minutes. False advertisement and just bad business practice comes to mind. Like I'm sure somehow this guy benefitted, from us viewing the items and whatnot. Probably brought it to the top of searches or something. Alas, I don't think we can do much. But I definitely encourage escalation, and would love to hear about other people's experiences doing so.

That sounds a bit Racist. Could you explain your point and why that was funny?

 

A mere phone call doesn't leave so much traces, it might be a better idea to escalate this thru the ebay platform by opening a dispute and detailing what you just wrote. This, in my opinion might be much more effective as they will need to address this "officially" and not thru a half baked phone conversation that lasted less than two minutes.
