Yes I guess Acustica and UAD are the best, but they are not cheap and there is not any 'try before you buy' ;) version...

I forgot Lindell one,I didn't like them much in the past.Perhaps I need to try again...Thanks for the suggestion.

That bottom Pultec (one of Acustica's) he had in the lineup is almost exactly spot on, sounding the same as the hardware he compares against. Amazing.

Yes the Acustica are clearly the best to my ears. But iZotope...very bad.
I'm nicely surprised by Noiseash.I'll try these plugins.

Right statement obviously.CPU consumption is not negligible!

I prefer the noise Ash Pultec. More subtle harmonic distortion to my ears.
Thank you a lot The Pirate for the tips. :)

I love these plugins, too. My go to ITB EQ is the UAD Neve 31102 and I will tell you that the NA 31102 is not far behind. The Pultec emulations are excellent. Version 1.1 improved an already good plugin making it even better:

    - Added: Anti-Aliasing engine with Oversampling feature
    - Added: Original volume bump remover switch
    - Improved: Real-Time CPU performance for Oversampling
    - Improved: High frequency curves on initialization
    - Improved: GUI performance
    - Fixed: Pop sound fx issue on the first initialization when analog switch is on
    - Fixed: AU validation error on Logic Pro X
    - Fixed: Crash in Pro Tools Ultimate

The best thing, it is "FREE" and Low CPU consumption. :headbang:

I just downloaded this and for some reason It's causing a slight delay on what ever channel its placed on. I'm not really sure why and this also happened to the original release version.

Anyone have any idea's as to why this is happening? I'm using FL11 and it only happens with these plugins

You are the first one to report this issue. I used them in FL Studio 12. Are you running a 64bit FL Studio? Maybe they dont like FL Studio 11. Can you upload a file of the problem? I forgot to ask you. Are you bridging? Is the PDC on?

Yes I am running 64bit FL with 64bit version of the VST Plugin. Attached are examples. When I play from the project directly I don't hear any delay at all. Only when rendered is there a delay. This doesn't happen with any other plugin I have and I'm pretty sure PDC is on by default. I don't touch those settings.

I ran into this issue back when these plugin's were first released and I uninstalled them assuming that it was a bug that would be fixed with the latest version....unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case

btw the EQ is on that brass synth. You can hear it gets delayed behind the piano

@Savannah I tried to duplicate it on my system to no avail. I ran 3 instances of each plugin at the same time and all went well. As I said, nobody else has reported a similar problem. Do you happen to have FL Studio 20 by any chance?

I feel that this video is not accurate, because gain on different plugins is different. iZotope clearly was much more treble than the others, and that may be is because of accurate 10 dB increase.

Yes absolutly, when two tracks are not gain matched you can't compare 2 different plugins.

I just made some quick measurements with DDMF Plugindoctor and Heritage 1.1 (Win7 64bit) and strange results:
    • Analog on or off does not affect the added harmonics at all. If you switch it off, they're still there (1.0 behaved as expected)
    • Antialiasing 2x, 4x, 8x does not alter the aliasing at all
    • With all section off and V-Bump on, the output is raised by ~ +0.8dB
With EQ1A on and V-Bump on, the output is raised by ~ +1.1dB
With all section off and V-Bump off the output is lowered by ~ -0.3dB
With EQ1A on and V-Bump off the output is not raised or lowered.

I use FL 20 and some knobs froze up when I was checking the plugins out and experimenting. They sound good to me, but then my hearing is fairly trashed and those cute wavy things over 13K are but phantoms of my past audio life, reverie and nostalgic of an earlier, more bandwidth and innocent time.

these looks like cool plugs, but yeah, FL 20 tends to crash alot sometimes, even with stock plugs it freezes

No worries, most of the world's most famous mixing engineers are fifty-somethings and can't hear that eihter.

    Thats great. :hahaha:

I love it when they just ignore what you select. Same goes for the famous Plugin Alliance channel strips. "Analog on or off? Pfff just alternate the harmonic distortion a bit. If you do not want noise you're clearly not a good engineer." :bash:

On the PA channel strips "analog" is just a switch that enables L & R on 2 different channels instead of one same channel stereo.
So when you enable "analog" L & R channels have small differences in frequency response, which imitate a true analog console.

Analyse one of these PA consoles with Plugin Doctor and you witll see it.
