Is there anyone out there that has both of these?
I wonder how good Sculptor is at removing resonant frequencies and harshness compared to Soothe.
    Thoughts?

    helpfull

I'm also quite interested in people their findings,
however, everything I hear about it is like the pro-tools hype before it got patched.
so it probraly is not as good as people make you think.:dunno:

i have them both and tbh i dont think neutron is trying to do what soothe does (and it doesnt) neutron is more overall take-carer for what its being used on, which means both enhancing and reducing, while soothe got 1 very specific job to do which you can really take control of.
they are both great tools, i just dont think they are comparable

I always use TDR Nova for removing resonant(bells or whistle) from vocals. You can use any good dynamic eq for the task.
    Here is a good example.

@DrumHead Before @vuuru_keg replied I was going to reply along those lines. I use Soothe and have tried Neutron 3.
For starters, a comparison between Neutron 3 ad Soothe is like comparing a scapel with a Swiss Army Knife. A better comparison would be Neutron 3 vs Gullfoss.
    If you want to remove
unpleasant resonances, specially from vocals, Soothe is the way to go for more natural results than manual EQ or broader multi-band compression. Sculptor is, and does, something else. Soothe relies on an algorithm that can automatically identify resonance problems in the mid and high frequencies, rather than imposing fixed EQ. In this area Neutron 3 doesn't even come close but to its credit it was not designed specifically for it. Anyone that thinks that Soothe is all hype, either has not tried it yet, does not know how to use it, or is tone deaf. Once in a while a plugin is born that simply does what others can only attempt. Soothe is one of those plugins that once you try it you just cant work without it.

Edit: You can try Soothe free for 30 days. A good way to avoid speculation and assumption.

let's not forget Melda MSpectralDynamics, imo still a superior, more versatile solution,
yea the GUI is ugly, but remember it's been with us since 2013 ;)

A solution to what? To Soothe? I see this thread drifting... off topic.

Yeah, the comparisons I'd like to hear/see are:

    Soothe vs MSpectralDynamics
    - and -
    Sculptor vs Gullfoss

and where Thimeo Stereo Tool fits in these comparisons.

And while we're at it, let's discuss, compare and debate the inherent qualities of apples vs.oranges. Oops, sorry, those two are hardware and this is a software discussion. Me bad.

Mate, i don't suggest to use DSM. In many aspects it can destroy your sound(DSM). I won't sugest this kind of "agressive" spectrum dynamic tweaking to anyone, especially if you're mixing analog recorded material.:mates:

My apologizes, I must of miss understood what the sculptor plug-in does. (wasn't referring to neutron suite just the sculptor plug). Guess there's no way around beating Soothe at this point in time.

    There's also Acon Defilter.

Along with DTBLKFX & ReaFIR , yes they do smooth but they tend to turn everything into white noise
