    If VR releases it I'm positive R2R will follow...

    That's a good advice in general with complex software. I was actually going to wait for that X.X.1 (4.5.1) version but I'm testing the new features which look cool. Besides, it always boosts my morbid interest when R2R makes another one of those moves :)

    Hey, I missed you in this thread.
    It's a very reasonable guess based on the first not-R2R cracks (with v3 I think) made by several people based on AIR's keygen.
    I really don't pay much attention to these things but since the poor guy was publicly bashed here by certain kind of members I couldn't help to get the gist of the cause of the lynching. I'm not talking about the last one though.

    Any proof of the opposite?

    In your experience, how long has it taken Presonus to issue these .x patches after a .0 release? From what I read on the internet it looks like they are fairly slow with patches.

    I'm only running versions that end with zero (3, 3.5, 4.0) because I don't have time to upgrade in between.
    Long story short, I never had a single issue with any of these releases.
    Your mileage may vary I guess.

    I don't remember the timeline by heart but a x.x.1 should not last much. It also depends of the bugs in this 4.5.0.
    Anyway, if you have complex projects I don't advice advise to use it. Or at least make backups like if the world ends in hal an hour. But if you're testing only for the fun and small projects like me it's fine.

    Holy cow, really?

    what has R2R to do if Hex Compare guys have used the AiR method ? You have really no idea about , i see , and sure you do not care whats behind , main thing for you are to get everything for free . Did you heard anything from Public Key Patching ?

    it was even written on certain nfo . but in these days nfo files are useless because not many people reading it .

    Thank you. I'll just wait for a little bit then. Anyway it's so exciting to have this new version! If you look at the threads the users are very excited about it, and happy about features that they were used to from Pro Tools and Cubase.

    Absolutely right, I was very tired and posted this here instead of in a private conversation where it was destined .. :deep_facepalm:

    Any way, this is a very old nfo from R2R and all of this has already been discussed long and large here.

    Hello everyone,

    I don't know if this is the correct post to discuss this but I thought to ask anyway. Does anyone managed to get Studio One X 2.7.2 config.cfg file to work in version 4.5?
    I used Mono's files that he provided for version 4.1.4 and everything works fine but the middle mouse and full-screen functionality are not working. It seems that the config.cfg file isn't recognized at all cause no matter the changes in it they are not applied on Studio One 4.5.

    Does anyone have any solution to this?

    AFAIK:
    Studio One X isn't compatible anymore with S1 version 4.5. (on both Windows and Mac).
    Presonus "blocked" Studio One X functionality completely in S1 version 4.5
    But..anyone proving otherwise, please chime in.

    @vanhaze & Ralthrer
    Ive made a new fix best i could for 4.5 using some older files but not sure if its 100%
    to many studio one posts now lol
    Have removed the xt eddit so it should be ok to share this copy here for testing.
    https://www20.zippyshare.com/v/ljRjgFQY/file.html

    Update:
    @Ralthrer

    There are errors with how studio one & studio one x now works with the old files added back,
    mp3 export,could not work if the lame.dll or it could be mp3handler.dll are replaced
    and the studioonex.package chords thing will not work and gives a bug error report when pressed.
    The old mp3handler.dll is also needed for full screen mode to work some how
    so its just getting a messy fix after the last 4.5 update
    some bits work others don't ,use with caution !

    @mono
    Huge thanks for the update! I just tested it and middle mouse works perfect and full screen too!

    The problem is that when I try to use a command from the Studio One X menu file the command is executed but I get an error from Studio One saying "An Unexpected Error occurred in this Application or one of its Plugins! A Crash Dump has been created at:". The command is executed and Studio One keeps working fine as far as I can observe atm but this error pops up every time I try to use a menu command from Studio One X menu. It doesn't happen in all menu buttons mostly at Transpose, Length, and Dynamics (Dynamics tho doesn't really work in Studio One X for a couple of versions now I think cause Presonus changed the script of how dynamics are coded).
    The weird thing is that although I get the error when I press the menu button if I make a macro of the script of the button (through Studio one X functionality), it all works fine. The command is executed and no crash dumps are reported.

    Any thoughts on this?

    What can I say? I asked a question, with a reasonable guess. If I knew the answer I wouldn't ask. That's the whole point of a forum.
    You criticize me since a while ago because I don't share your unconditional love for R2R and their complaints. It's fine with me.

    I don't see why I should care about these things. I just ask out of curiosity since this is an interesting soap opera in the recent R2R-complaints years. Even less seeing how people that knows a bit about it gets so angry for things we can't do shit about. But man, I have lots of fun making jokes about it, that's for sure :wink:

    Oh, and to get stuff for free it's the whole point of using audio warez and warez in general. Even if you buy later you're getting commercial stuff for free.

    Edited:
    What the f*ck is PKP? BTW, you didn't give any valid point about R2R not using AIR work. Of course R2R are much better than hex editors.

    I am the first! :) Like I said I usually wait (including 4.0.0, 4.1.0) to try new versions but in this case I'm already playing with v4.5.0.

    Really? Where? :lmao:

    @mono is the man! :metal::beg:

    There isn't really a pattern, I think. But a "hotfix" would be something pretty rare, I've been a SO user since the last update of version 2 and in all these years I can only think of one time they did a hotfix because of a serious bug (it took a week or something like that), otherwise they usually take a month or two.

    You are a very lucky guy, I guess.

    Yeah man. I am aware of that. However, why R2R is acting like this? Is not giving us good stuff their final purpose? If they're working for love, passion and greater good then why don't they stop this WHO RELEASES FIRST game? If they are not greedy and are not working for money and if they're real folks doing it for hell of it then they should stop this RELEASE FIRST game. We all know SISTER SITE is an innocent site! We also know that (APPARENTLY) its main admin is a POOR guy(Economically) who thinks about closing the site once or twice in a week because of lack of money. So R2R should stop putting the sister site under pressure. We all fucking poor R2R. Stop it!

    It's not like they don't work for passion, but they work for status and pride as much. Both things are compatible, especially when they're the best group nowadays. Their greediness is about that, not money, and it's only human. Of course they're not gonna write this on their .nfo messages.
    I don't agree with their last moves but nobody's a demon or a @SAiNT here... oops....

    Brother don't hold your breath. I have a macOS for just one program (https://audionamix.com/technology/adx-trax-pro/) Nothing else. The day this program becomes available for Windows, I will conduct a raffle here and the winner can have this iMac Pro. I would even pay for shipping anywhere in the world. It is a promise. :boombox:

    Thank you again. I am mostly decided on learning Studio One, but things like these leave a sour taste in my mouth. When I look at how swiftly and decidedly the Reaper devs handle bugs, and when I read about the numerous problems that Studio One has had over the years, and how long it takes Presonus to put out fixes, it's not exactly a reassuring feeling.
