    Hi

    I'm on OS X and need some advice from people who have Cubase Pro (any version on the mac) since I just bought Cubase Pro 10.

    1. Is anyone running legit Cubase Pro along with any of the non-legit versions for OS X on the sister site;

    * Cubase Artist 10.0 (Easy Install) release date - 08.05.2019 (Unlimited tracks, MP3 -unlocked)
    * Cubase Artist 10.0.10 release date -10.01.2019 (Unlimited tracks, Mp3 -unlocked)
    * Cubase Elements 10.0.10 release date - 20.12.2018 (Unlimited tracks, Mp3 - unlocked)
    * Cubase Artist 9.5.41 release date - 27.11.2018 (Unlimited tracks, ? - unlocked)
    * Cubase Artist 8.0.40 release date -17.10.2018 ?

    2. If so, how did you do it? What to install first, backup license files etc

    3. What non-legit version of Cubase from the above list would you recommend taking into account stability and unlocked features like unlimited tracks etc.

    Right now I have Non-legit Cubase Elements 8 installed, but this one does not have unlimited tracks, however it is very stable and works very well.

    Thanks for your input!

    As far as i know, a legit C10 license will let you run any version below the one allowed on the license.
    At least it used to...

    Yes thats true, but only with the USB elicencer inserted, if you remove the usb-key the Elements version will ask for a serial number. So then you have to buy Elements for it to work without the USB key, and even though it is not too expensive the track count is limited so I would prefer these cracked versions with unlocked features.

    Just a simple question.. WHY do you wanna run that many versions.. if you got legit 10 pro it will run all your previous work.. just a waste of hdd space..

    Thats a legit question :)

    If I want to work without a dongle. I have a MacBook Air so only two USB ports.

    I use Cubase Pro 10...However...This might sounds crazy...but wouldn't getting a small usb hub make life easier? It would allow you to use the full weight of Cubase Pro 10 and cut all the madness out. IJS.

    How about an usb-hub? I have a macbook and use it all the time.

    audio interface, usb midi controller, computer mouse, harddrives, dongle... this way you can connect it all. up to a point.

    Edit: sorry someone said it earlier. Well, at least a good tip twice!

    USB hub is a good idea. But I still think it would be nice/sexy/convenient to be able to fire up Cubase quick n' dirty, without the extra gear. But if it's not that easy and all I get is license melt down, then maybe getting Elements with the discount is a good option.

    What USB hub are you guys using? Passive/active?

    I bought one without power supply a while ago. Should have done some research, as I had huge interferences with my monitors (using unbalanced cable).

    So you might want to go for an active hub. They have less interferences and you will surely not run out of power (depending on what you connect to it).
