It seems very random to me. I would need to know a little about your own thoughts on what you are trying to communicate with this song to be able to give any constructive comments in any fruitful direction.

I agree it seems a bit random. We can't hear what else might be going on in your mind ;)
If it seems to need video, it may need more instruments to stand alone.
(Some rhythmic instrument, something bass, something light on top, something vocal maybe)
If you do add one thing, you might find you don't want to add more.

And for the piano, I sense a need for a lot of modification to give it life.
Adjusting note start times, lengths, velocity, etc..
I can not play piano well, but I try to get down some basics without quantization and fix mistakes to save time.
The natural variations playing without quantization may be good or bad, but sometimes i find i have "fixed" the life out of it or lost something.
It's a game for me and if I could play better I would know better what to touch up
And I would like to hear some ambiances in this (a little reverb here or there).

If a musician is in need to explain her/his own thoughts and what is she/he trying to comunicate with a song then there´s a big problem with that song. Seems to me...

Strongly agree with regard to a (finished?) song. The song should stand alone. I always prefer to listen only, eyes closed watching nothing, and knowing as little as possible about who wrote it or where it came from, etc.
But if a musician is still working on something unfinished, then fair enough, discussion and seeking feedback might be beneficial.

Yes you did, and the fact that you can tell you did is a good sign!
I listened to it repeat while I played Rocket League and then listened again.
It was nice in the background (a little EQing may be good, but with my speakers ... alas with my EARS... i don't think I ought suggest anything.
If you can't think what to do next, come back to it a little later when it is out of your head and maybe you will know ;)

Midi note velocities can be a beautiful thing...

I like your second version. You can also try the clarinet/sax melody an octave higher with reverb and so cover more frequencies. Cheers.

  14. I changed the instrumentation and also applied some modifications to it. In the first post.:winker::bow:
