One, there must be some way of locking items in the timeline. the number of times this drives me crazy... is beyond number. accidentally move some thing like a microscopic distance before realising it's moved loads of other bits out of time. and second, the Select ALL business when you try and select a region of time is absolutely driving me F**king Crazy. Surely this is acheivable? What with being in the business for 20 years or so..?? PLease SORT IT OUT!

If you are legit FL STUDIO user you should make a request on Image-line forum rather than here.
If you are not a legit user then you don't have the right to make any request, lol.

Then you need to look out in which forum it was posted. I guarantee you it has nothing to do with Florida. :hahaha:

Does Right-click on the lane, and "Lock to Content" not do it?

By default, all items are locked to the grid (timeline) via the main snap function in the toolbar. Basic stuff. It's called snap. Every DAW has it. To get things off the grid (timeline) select "none" from the main snap dropdown.

You don't know what your talking about. You are talking about quantize, i am on about locking clips to prevent them being inadvertently moved or duplicated. that's a totally different issue. i know about quantize.. the 'basic stuff'..
    so knock off the condensation...

I think you should upload a picture if someone does not know what you're walking about. :dunno:

I do not know it also.
Even without being 20 years into the "business"

really?? you can't use FL much then.
i've searched everywhere and there is no way to lock the position of clips in the arrangement.
    so that's that.

No, with condensation you want to wipe it off, then get a good dehumidifier.

I always just use the undo function if that happens

I often move clips, by mistake, too. Because I am used to other DAW's, where using Shift + Mouse-Wheel scrolls through my arrangement.
I wish FL Studio had that function too, instead of moving the clip selected. But I learned to live with it.

Also, the Undo doesn't work, as it registers more than just one action, so I either go in the Current project's history (when multiple clips are selected) or I just click on the clip, delete it then put it back on the grid.
