Anybody using the pay version of SoundCloud. Is it worth it? Don't need the upload time and I haven't had a thousand plays in the last month. To "monetize" anything, that's the minimum. It does give more control in how you post your tracks. And the more detailed stats may be interesting. Oh Yeah, Baby. I'm "big" in Japan. just kidding.

Soundcloud is pretty much dead to me since they removed the feature to share music to different groups.

I prefer https://www.choon.co/ (NOTES are quite low in exchange rightnow)
and
https://soundlinks.net/ (not tradeable to real money yet)
and
https://peertracks.com/ (only downside is that you dont get guest plays, listeners need to register)

I made hundrets of dollar by using peertacks already without paying a cent.
And yes! you can convert crypto to real money like Dollar... Euro...

Why pay to get payed ?! I prefer to earn crypto and pay nothing.

i had "pro" account for a few years.
the stats where very underwhelming. MAYBY they have improved it, but i doubt it
the amount of uploadtime you get, was nice.

my advice is mearly, look at it as "ROI" (return of investment) and decide if that is worth it to you.

i stoped my pro account when they removed the whole "share with groups" centiment

To be honest, I didn't even know about the existance of any of these platforms.

So lets say if a track makes 10000 notes, how much money is that?

@huschiwuschi what exactly is soundlink? is it some kind of collecting agency that collects royalties from i.e. youtube streams?

I just did a quick research and all the tracks they claim to represent are nowhere to be found on the entire internet outside of the soundlink sphere, so if they are not able to get me my royalties from all the major streaming sites, what's the point?

 

Soundlinks is like Choon, Peertracks etc. Visitors may play your music on Soundlinks or in the mobile app.
For each play you get SOUND token. Besides that you get commnunity rewards for each login to the mopbile app.
Just try all, Choon, Soundlinks, Musicoin, Peertracks etc and see where you get most

 

So there is no audience except for other musicians, ergo no payola.

 

choon and soundlinks allow guest plays so anyone who visit the webpage can listen just like soundcloud

 

Youtube has a billion users. That's an audience to target.

 

How much plays do you get with your songs on youtube ?
How much money ?
And how much do you have to pay for Soundcloud monthly ?
Is there a way to get payed on youtube without paying monthly money ?
