Hey buddy! Sounding really nice; nicely mixed, just like your other tracks you sent me the links for.
On the last one, I like the slight 'choppiness' of the EP riff, as if it were a sample. Maybe one or two 'glitchy' flares, or one reversal might help imply that more, if that's what you were going for.
EP riffs with deep reverb always sound good reversed, for transitions. Especially in the down-tempo stylee.
I think I'm always gonna appreciate your overall sound/eq/mix of the stuff you do.
    Mucho respect.

Ah, I see, the first two tracks in early 'stereo-style', vocals left, band (almost completely) right. But for this style the music should be 'not so loud'  (third track neither).

Somethings gone wrong with the mp3 export. This is the first I've heard the Soundcloud mix and it's wrong. It shouldn't be so left channel heavy. So, thanks for pointing it out. See? Feedback is very important. Until I get a vocal in there, I haven't done anything to establish instrument levels....this is just the tonal palette I'm thinking of working with. Or I may just abandon it. I have hundreds of similar and dissimilar half finished tracks.

As per @No Avenger, sorry, as purr No Avenger, I see it heavy on the right, not the left. But only on one of them. One of the first two, can't remember. (Had to use different browser. Again!)
Has one of us got their system wired wrong? I thought it was some sort of M/S with the drums, or something!

Yeah, obvs, this is a WIP mix until you get a vocal in there.

I put my headphones on the wrong way. Or maybe I woke up with my ears reversed? Either way, I just had a look at one of the files and it's a combination of two things.... drum bus... trying out a new AA API plugin, but using my A&H QU32 as a control surface. It understands channel panning but not bus panning, so the lesson, kids.... is don't try and do 3 mixes (even if they're rough) with new tools after sitting for 12 hours. Ears get tired and left becomes right. And that's not right.

Either way, still sounds good though!
Was intrigued by your major/minorness of one of them. Keys were minor, bass line was major due to one note. A la 'the funk', so I allowed it.
But not sure it worked for me. An executive decision you made, I suppose. Coz I already know your music theory is good!

More proof why feedback is essential. When I put ideas down, I have to work very fast. If I have time to think, I have time to lose the thought, so I was likely playing a bass line, having put down a beat, then started humming to myself and found that I was humming in a minor key, but as I know, I then get into a layering frenzy of embellishment and probably forgot about the bass.

^That's a true right-brain muso right there! And I totally relate to that! hehe

Have decided this is the track worth pursuing. Fixed the stereo field issues and added some glue and a bit of bottom. And no wrong bass notes.

That's a phat mix right there! I just compared the two versions, and I don't see that you had to change any bass notes??
Nice the drums aren't over to the right now!
Definitely ready for a female vocalist I know! We did some filler stuff for Hed Kandi compilations.
It was actually the second track, in the first bar of the 2 bar bass riff, when you come up from the 5, you passed through the 6 instead of the flattened 7th. That's what I meant by major/minor. That one note stuck out for me, but the second bar of the bass riff works great, even though that too has major elements. Funk allows that kind of thang.

And I thought it was on purpose or a user fault, I'm so sorry.

Err, no, the other left, aka right.

    Yep, that would be pointless.

JC, you urgently need a vocalist!

    That explains it.

Daring thesis, something like a snare is still panned right (aka the other left ).

Dayum brother! Ima have to change outta these cummy drawers. And I didn't even need to touch myself.
    What the actual f**k??? YES!
    Mos' def!
Those free-tempo f vox verses are exactly what I was thinking of! Very much what Robina and I were doing, and what she would have laid down on this. But your top line vox just hit it for me especially.
You are a dark horse, SL, and I'm going to go away and sulk! After listening to it again.
...now where did I leave the coconut oil....
    This is audiosex.

I am honoured and humbled by your remarks my friend. I sincerely thank you. I am often convinced I am a fraud....just faking it. Pretending I make music, but your constant support is the best thing I've felt in a long time.

Yep, that works pretty well, very nice vocals with interesting pan movement in the backings.
And no, you're not a fraud.

    - I'd prefer a more realistic aka acoustic snare
    - I'd narrow/center the low freqs and
    - the sax solo could be more upfront

Ive thought of all the same things. But I'm in a bit of a creative mood, so don't want to dwell too long on things. They'll never reach an audience so I'm happy with imperfection. But thanks for sticking with me.
