All plugins also have been updated, including some new features/options, several changes, improvements, changes in audio/midi settings, few bugfixes, such as reduced FLS (fiber local storage) cosumption on Windows, crashes fixed etc. Few instruments also have their own improvements and bugfixes as well.
Disadvantage: 32 bit support dropped since this version.

Is $200, for 3 new instruments, loads of new updates and presets, actually bad? :)

I thought 199 euro was a bad price from v5 to v6 so I just skipped it, 199 euro to go from v5 to v7 is much more to my liking. You dont need to jump on the band wagon every year.

    indeed

some developers don't want to take off the blinders and adjust their business model to the new economy like Artists had to.
it's easier to blame someone else instead of embracing change.

I get they've got a business to run and expenses, but it would be wiser for them to bet on the same sales figures- if not bigger - with not only a most affordable price, but also leasing options or whatever..

anyway, I digress but still .. nice products

The Synthi AKS emulation interests me. The XILS-Labs versions never had the same incredibly bizarre, f+++ed-up unpredictablity when turning knobs as the real one I used between 1977 and 1982 . You'd go from one weird sound to another completely different one just between a slight twist of one knob. And nothing ever sounded like it. Listen to Pink Floyd's On The Run or any early Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, etc.

Arturia (and some other software company's) need really to change their upgrade policy. 200€ for a upgrade is a fu**ing joke.
I have the V Collection 5 (Artist edition) and I'm not upgrading.

If you are refering to Arturia's Storm from +15 years ago then I might agree, otherwise I never heard of any issues with their current offering.

I agree it's very specific piece of software and not everyone needs it.
I'm stunned to see how many rejoice everytime there's an orchestral bank shared when actually they sometimes have neither the horsepower to run them nor the real use for it

ah, you too ?( I was using the XILS for a tune a while ago and I ended up using another synth for the same kind of sound I was looking for )
still, good product also, I like them.

Hm, I can't use their Sem and Jupiter, they use 100 % of my CPU. Arturia's support is just: reinstall. Wow... Other people on their forum also had this problems over the years.
Anyway, their stuff is semi-decent. It's probably worth the money for the presets.
But U-he and others are in just another league in terms of authenticity. The only thing that annoys me is that Arturia use too much CPU for mediocre sound. Roland's stuff is similar in CPU performance and meh quality.

Any legit owners able to actually update any instruments? It's running at dial up modem speeds. 14kbps. 12 hours to update the Midi control centre. What sort of servers are they running?
