So, when you read the Scene FAQ (you posted) R2R is not a scene but P2P group.

you are correct on a few things but so wrong on many, h20 became Air ,just like Peace-Out evolved into ASSiGN. For you to say that ASSiGn is Scene but R2R is not ,is a joke to me ,same group, different name, I know for a fact otherwise as I personally race their stuff to many of the top FTP sites myself . sure it may not show up on any of the 0day pre db sites you check but trust me they are all over the world. As hard as we all have tried to get that done, it seems that audio appz are not anything to care about compared to Movies,tv shows and games, besides I(we) are always a few days late compared to the forums that actually care about such things. All we do is index what is available right now and hlep get that shit raced so guys like you can enjoy. maybe if ASSiGN or R2R actually had the opportunity to sign off on the same addendum as the groups you brought up things might be different but then again you think H20 and ASSiGN are scene when they never were, just a few guys with top axx racing their stuff, just like we do

I get it's important for someone who knows a lot about the scene like you to clarify things. And it's interesting.

For me and I guess most "consumers" I don't care if a group is scene or not. Or what groups evolved into what others.

I just know H20, AIR, now R2R were/are the kings of cracking audio soft, and there were/are another good ones, like ASSIGN, Team VR and so on. So if I have to test the same release usually I try first R2R.

Gotta admit some good and valid points made by all that posted, Now here is the real deal when it comes to what we do. My partner noticed that the Audio scene was dying off as far as The audio scene was concerned, All the groups slowly dropped off the planet and lost any and all Top axx to top site FTP servers, But HE ,not I came up with an idea, Why not reach out to the groups that are still trying to share stuff and unite them and make our own system to index and have others race the stuff as torrent or post on your fav. Forum. Just like all the others scenters, We made sure stuff was packed correctly, an Nfo was included and that an SFV was in there. Typical true scene rules etc etc , Now we reached out to all and many said no, they rather make money by posting stuff themselves Which we totally understand if that said person actually took the cash and used it to buy more and share more with everybody. Sadly Many were in it for the "likes" and the cash from all the file locker sites. But on the bright side of that came out the real TRUE groups that really put in all the hard work and share just because that is how they(WE) roll. Is this system perfect, Hell nah but has it helped many of you over the last decade?, Fuck yeah!! I can't say enough about all they do and with zero gains other than pride and the love of it all,Yeah sure the few trusted racers may make a few bucks here and there but they put that back into it all and buy more to share, I am not the only one behind AudioP2P .THERE ARE MANY. I am just the loud mouth that really hates groups being put down , when the person bitching most likely has a shit ton loads of vst's that the got from the groups but yet wants to complain. kinda like my wife and daughter and my paycheck, take it but never say thank you. When it comes to Audiowarez and sites like the sister site, We are now the real Audio scene, Be apart of it or move on, I think it is very fucked up that guys like the @The Pirate takes the time to pack up and bring up to date spectrasonics stuff, even provided a torrent link to help with the amount of data, yet sadly most of you just leeched and took off, Where is the respect? Most can count to ten but sadly I can only think of 8 that really help and share.

ok I kinda had to revisit this thread as the guy that actually coded every thing got around to reading this and got in touch with me, so with all that said and done First off P2P releases are not indexed nor will every be.although we tend to only deal with the groups you all know and we are not truly, a SCENE index,we do follow "SCENE" rules. and for the most part the groups have agreed but a P2P release....???(Meh). It basically comes down to standards so that the servers can automate everything and the few with access can share with all of you.. Kinda simple if you really think of it. For a person who shares a lot and wanted to join our system there would be a lot needed. Releases would have to follow the release name tags. Only a selected few groups do so and I don't think it will encourage the other indies to follow suite as they haven't by now to even bother to pack releases correctly. Waste of time to add that to the website. Some "Scene" releases are not indexed as they dupe the web groups by a week or even a few weeks and even up to months after a web group release. And out of nowhere it shows up on a zero day index, and that is crazy to me as it literally against the SCENE rules to rip from forums and P2P. It was simpler to just query for a match using the release title tag and not download it. This saves bandwidth and wear. only annoyance with the file host posting is users tag as a group yet post as P2P. Don't tag a release if you're too lazy to do an NFO and use rar part naming.Posters can "store compress" the content while still satisfying their greed for maximum profit via file sizes. which is so not a cool thing to do. Sharing is caring

My brother I cant thank you enough for what you just said. Needless to say, I agree with you 100%. It may bring some type of change to the way some members operate as it is really shameful what they do. They are nothing but leeches. As you said, sharing is caring. The Omnisphere, keyscape, Trilian torrents are dead. After hundreds of members downloaded them. How fucked up is that! If everyone were to be a leech and act like one, there would not be any releases.
It is also shameful what some of the mirror posters are currently doing, too. Again, take the Omnisphere release as an example. I spent hours preparing it. After posting it, I noticed that some members had posted "mirrors" that were nothing but copy and paste of the same links I had uploaded. How disrespectful is that? More so when most likely they were using my links for profit, something which I never do. In fact, I don't even use a premium account for my uploads in order to remain anonymous. As a result, when my original links got taken down there was no longer the Uploaded.net option. So who ends up getting hurt the most? The member who paid for a premium account and can't download it. The leeches go on to the next release...and history repeats itself.

I think he saved the world from the 2k effect Apocalypse behind the scenes but in the process ended up sailing the Twilight Zone.

Only 1 site needed but the truth of it all is logistics and timing . coming up with a concept and all the time it takes get servers and all the coding to get a stable system, that shit is easy but where is the content?? With out that it's nothing, What can it really be if the groups do not agree on a certain format and that includes an NFO ,the way things are packed up etc etc... All of that takes cooperation. With out any of the groups actually letting us know what is up before it hits the public then it would be nothing more than yesterdays news and who wants to index that shit when every forum and site has a "search" Bottom line it's all about standards
