I prefer this one over the previous version, this one has so much more 'character' to it. I also tweaked the snares, but i didn't tame the high freq's, I just tuned them down, I also did tuned all of my drums for the first time and boy does this make a difference. I also tried panning shit nicely and all in all it's quite an improvement from what I got earlier.

What do you think? Am I right?

Please leave me some feedback, I will use this beat as an entry for a 'capability/talent' contest to be allowed for a music production school, so I need it to be as close to perfection as it can get *yes*

    Seems very repetitive.. :dunno:

Id concentrate more on making it unique.. give the listener something to look forward to.. and be more original.

Sheep will.. always become victims ... to wolves.

i like the other version - but that is my opinion

indeed it is repetitive - but how so often the MC makes it complete, i guess! ?

Sounds like it has swag, but unfortunately half of the world is going for the same swag at the moment. Which means that that makes your swag blend in with the rest of the crowd. Thats the thing with most people, they instantly hear something thats hot and try to imitate it fully. Which is good, but you forget to throw in your soul into the production or track when you go that route. Therefore compromising the very essence of self expression. All art is the soul expressing itself and even trap music demands to have some sort of soul in it. The track sounds ok, but you don't want that, you want straight UNDENIABLE fire. Thats just my two cents, fam. :mates:

thank you all for your opinions, i understand and agree with most of them, but i just can't help it, i've been following the 'evolution' of hip-hop/rap from when lil jon came with that newish synthesized, bassheavy sound. I've been loving which way it went, unlike many others. I just really like this kind of music, where my friends used to laugh at me i have been trying to 'master' this style the last 2 years and i just enjoy making it. but that don't mean i don't hear you guys. it needs more soul and less me trying to sound like them guys on the radio. maybe check out my other tunes on soundcloud too, to be honest i have quite a versatile style :D :mates:

thanks for all your feedback brothers, i appreciate it!

People here said some valuable things, but this is also SO TRUE. Sometimes the difference is day/night!
Sometimes people tend to forget about that too...

EITHER WAY, APPRECIATE YOU GUYS GIVING ME SOME FEEDBACK!

WILL RETURN THE FAVOR WHENEVER YOU NEED IT!

Again... little variation... drives me crazy.

To me this is the devolving of music.

Maybe I'm not hip.... enough... yo.

Beyond how little is the variation, your production sounds solid ;)

And yes Audio-Sex is a nice place where get feedback and discuss things.
Sometime while working on things there is a point where it´s hard to find self-objectivity.
It´s good idea let it go for a while even if I don´t do it.
The soul thing well, I believe that any individual creating projects the soul, maybe the problem is the craft to really make it standout ;)
