If the Eu votes on legislation it has to be voted on by all 27/8 countries. If a country disagrees there can be veto. If the out come is shit, blame your government not the EU

well, companies will get fcked up first, it took Google about 12 years and over 100 million $$ to develop ContentID filtering - I doubt ALL companies which take part in online space can afford to do same

    Fuck'em and their law!

Why do politicians have to control everything ffs?! They're control freaks. Don't fucking touch the Internet! You know nothing about it, yet you bring laws to tackle it. It's a fucking disgrace. You are making fools of yourselves, because these days even teenagers know what a VPN is. You are all fucking fools.

I soooo hate politics and politicians. I always envision guillotine and a long line of politicians waiting for their fate.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION EVERYBODY SHOULD ASK THEMSELVES IS: WHY DO THEY DO IT? WHO GETS THE STINKIN' MONEY?

Give a politician a cauldron of stew, and he will see to it that the most rich people are fed nicely, while everybody else can just die. Incredibly, utterly, shitty people.

Equilibrium here we come. I hope I die before it comes. I think people are fucking up the Internet too much already. Taking it any further is just lunacy.

And on the calmer side, since they don't know how the Internet works, they can nicely, without any lubrication, shove their laws up their stupid arse up to their guts.

But since it's all so useless... why doing it at all? You can't control the Internet. Even if they try to, and they will, we can develop a kind of an "Undernet"... you dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, politicians. You should all be sent to a desert island so you can control yourselves. Dumbfucks.

"A subsequent vote to allow amendments to the text of the directive was also rejected, although that was very close with 317 in favor and 312 against."

Dude, article 13 is actually very good for artists. Get your facts right. At the moment youtube and other big platforms are collecting money that belongs to YOU

Disagree. It's hardly about money, screening every single post for infringement sounds like censorship. Youtube already have (very broken) copyright enforcement mechanism in place.
Artists won't benefit from this either, the money will be collected by publishers and labels and most importantly collective administrators.
But ultimately, it's about restricting opinion flow and free speech.

At what price? There are other options available to achieve the same goal without automated surveillance and control of its users. What is next? Read the report from the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. It gives you a better idea of this legislation. I have attached it.

Free speech does not exist only since the internet. Everyone can still say what he wants and where he wants under the restrictions of the european law. No one gets imprisoned because of stating something about the government. At least not in the middle and west-eu.

I know this is a popular argument by demonstants but it is not correct and to be honest, it's cheeky to say something like this about the european union.
