    I'm about to build a new PC with an I7 8700k and a gigabyte z370 Mboard.As It will be offline (second comp for web) with so many problems encountered by much more tech savvy soulmates from here and other music related forums I wonder if I shouldnt install Win 7 and just forget about win 10...
    Any pointers or opinion VERY welcome!

    I really want to do that, but an AMD machine with Win10 preinstalled refuses to boot win7 USB rufus and ISO.

    Anyone could give me a link on where to find a pre December 2017 cpu leak fix version of windows 10?
    This version for example: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB v1607 (Build 14393.2395) x64

    windows 8.1 has better audio performance and doesnt have to much telemetry shit plus i doesnt have a task menu, i liked my 8.1

    I've the same exact problem (the only difference is that I'm oriented to buy an Asus z390 Mobo - further opinions are welcome, I always used Asus but I'm open to new experiences-) and to integrate this upgrade into a project to develop my present I7 4770 DAW, wich fits Win 7 ultimate 64. The target is to move this (old) set to another PC, for internet and other uses. Hw transfer issues apart, as well as the boring daw reset procedure, my fear is to configure a system that may have obsolescence problems in the immediate future. This is surely something that could happen installing win 7, both for drivers and sw. I'm doing a test on an old laptop, installing win 10 LTSB, and I have to say that until now, it works quite well, even if I didn't work on big audio projects.
    Gurus suggestions and opinions are very welcome and awaited
