Dunlop Max Grip user here. Nylon 1mm ones for strumming stuff and Carbon (Jazz) 1.34mm ones for the rest.

I haven't been able to replace them in the last 10 years.

I agree. I use thin when I want to get that funk guitar sound.
    Ring a bell Lois Lane.
Most the time it's just a medium.
I was going to try that quarter or Penny thing like Eddie Van Halen does. But I think I will break a lot of string with it. LOL

The one above has a bit of the appearance of a baked egg, but it's a plectrum. Of course one likes to vary from day to day and I have always liked the standard Fender "351 Heavy". But I've got plenty more. Please - have your pick:

@Lois Lane, yep, same old hype to boost sales. I bought mine two years ago and he was yarning on about maybe the website will have to close because of supply shortages. I guess he thinks the old marketing strategy from 1960's cartoons still work. (order NOW while supplies last!!!) From what I understand Lignum vitae grows wild along the beaches in south Florida (where he lives) Builders and land developers hate the stuff because it is SOOOO tough its almost impossible to bulldoze under.
I think the story thats a tad closer to the truth is that the stuff is hard as hell to harvest and Florida's beaches and wetlands are so developed now that when he tries to harvest the stuff he gets run off by the land owners.
    AND.....I could be wrong.
