hi guys, well let me fill you in on my music journey, i was a dj at the age of 17, i did this for 8 years, then i got my first pc, dl a few programs, magix music maker was the first i discovered and it was basic, but it got me into music production, made some nice tracks with it, moved on to reason 4, didnt really like it but still made a few decent tracks, fruity loops was next at version 6, again didnt know much about it, so ableton was next on my list, version 7.2 from team A.i.R and loved it, so trance was my genre of music i liked producing, but its the hardest genre to produce, you have to know music theory, because its all about the melodies, pads, leads and the huge breakdowns, the emotion, well i made alot of trance but never had a release, my belgium friend told me to try prog house, which i did, i sent him a demo and he told me to send it to his label ( bonzai ) and i got my first prog house toon signed, in 2011 and had another 10 tracks released on this label, then i did a 2 minute club scene for a movie called amsterdam heavy, was kool to see my name at the end credits, them my mental health started to go downhill and i had big problems, bonzai gave up on my because i could not replicate any more prog house tracks that they signed me for, i was sending them shit, then in 2015 i was made homeless and i lived on the streets for 2 weeks which was a very nasty expierience, moved into a hostel, now im in my own place again, i tried for ages just to make a 2 min intro to a trance track and was staring at a blank screen, i gave up and never opened ableton untill 3 weeks ago, i was gonna give up, but then i made a psy trance track which i never tried before, i kept listining to it and i knew it was a nice track, friends told me it was, so i decided to send it to a label, and they liked it and now i am a signed artist again, im 56 now lol, so the point is, never give up, always keep going, you will get there, thx , believe in your dreams

Thanks for the post, it's very encouraging. I've been down a similar path with music, then I started having issues mentally (a change in brain chemistry my current psych tells me)...pretty much took all of my 40's...7-8 years but I've finally figured out how to manage it.

Anyways, great to see you hanging in there...I agree, keep on going. :like:

Wow, Bonzai was quite the name back in the day. Not really my cup of tea but I guess they had their (raver)heart at the right place. Yves De Ruyter was one of their big names iirc?
Thanks for being so open and posting this! Truely inspiring.

I used to work with some guys from Bonzai Records in the 90s, and was quite into underground techno and a performer myself. Good times!

Next up we have the DJK Krazy Kutz remix provided by DJK aka Kevin Miller. Kevin has been a regular in the Green Martian stable with his material featuring on multiple compilations as well as his own releases. The remix gets moving with an awesome phat kick and soft hat combination as the bassline pumps away alongside. Nice and smooth synths ease their way into the track with expert precision and dominate the break with beautiful strings also in attendance. Very strong groove here which is going to be the perfect addition to any playlist!

    Just amazing. Man, I'm shocked.
I've had goose bumps and shivers while reading your ups and downs in life and music.

To just congratulate you feels way too short for me. You've all my respect.

Like all the others before said, thx for sharing your dramatic life experience, wishing you all the best!

Remember Bonzai from mid 90s Phrenetic Systems 3 & Jones & Stephenson First Rebirth, very uptempo stuff, but back then it was great.
But i enjoy my 110-120 bpm nowadays more.
