Sorry about that mate. :rofl:Of course I know that. I worked 7 years for Roland's R &D. I saw 909 and thought about the TR 909. I really dont see Behringer cloning the MC-909 or MV 8800 . The original MC 909 and MV 8800 are not that expensive to buy nowadays so it makes no sense for Behringer which business model seems to be cloning very expensive hard to find hardware and selling them for around $300. Roland, on the other hand, has the TR 8S. Adding a sampler to it, I believe is the next step into something like the MC -909.

If there's a line of samplers and synths that I'd love to see be brought back...it's Ensoniq. Amazing gear..the.e-Mu and Ensoniq era were magical times

The ASR 10 was a classic. I loved playing with it at Guitar Center.

Let us not forget the Kurzweil K2500 Series. one of the best sounding most advance samplers..but way too expensive. I remember us at Roland saying "are they fucking crazy"?:wtf: The K2500AES was retailing for $17k and $18K. And we are talking about mid 90's money. A kilo of coke was cheaper.:banned:

So far I want the Odyssey and Pro-1 which are definitely coming.

    Then there's the we're working on it, maybe, and or rumored list: SP1200, Prophet 5, DX1, SH-5, Jupiter 8, OB-X, Arp 2600, CS-80 and System 100.

If they make them, I want them all eventually. Long live Behringer! :drunks:

You got yourself a working E-MU II for 600 bucks? :woot:
I'm not even sure if it can be found on eBay for ten times more...

If I'm not mistaken their K 250 was even more expensive than the 2500 in the 80s.

You are talking about a regular K2500 or any of the other 5 or 6 K2500 models. I was referring to the K2500AES. The K250 was $12-13k back in the mid 80's.https://www.matrixsynth.com/search?q=k2500+AES&by-date=true

Do you know the year in which I bought it? It was during the 90's recession, in 1992. http://audiosex.pro/threads/which-one-is-the-oldest-soundgear-software-that-you-currently-use-to-make-music.43172/ In 1992 a Roland 808 in excellent condition was being sold for $500 and people thought it was expensive! I bought it for $450 and sold it a year later for $400. The 303 was being sold for $25-40. The Oberheim DMX you see in my room was $30. Nobody wanted analogue. Everyone wanted digital. Sellers were begging you to buy them. Recording studios with the Mitsubishi X850 and Sony DASH digital multi-track recorders were making a killing. It was crazy then, and it is crazy now but in reverse. BTW, an Emulator II in excellent condition is going to fetch no more than $3k-4k. The SP 1200 can bring twice that amount.

i've owned an EII and an Emax ( 3 times over).....the magic of those units, honestly IMO, was the factory libraries. And those are available in sfz/sf2 :bleh:

I think the Mirage had a much more interesting effect on whatever was put through it.

I actually don't like that it uses a 24 Bit architecture. The whole point about the sonic character of the SP-1200 is the 12 Bit sampling and the analog(?) filters. Maybe the interview has some more revelaing info.

it does, there is a section where they speak about bitrate, samplerate and how that affects the actual sound, about some misconceptions. that part is interesting. dont remember when though, think its somewhere in the middle
