Ya'll morning a person that was a complete cunt most time, I spent some time in the Prodigy camp and can tell you first hand what a jerk. He was. to me on many occasions and to my friend that worked with the band! It sucks when people take their own life to be sure but please don't waist 1 tear for this guy as a person. total waste of oxygen.

The pile of dead talents is getting bigger and I don't see new ones appearing. In the mainstream music, I mean. Mainstream music is becoming increasingly filled with "safe" shit, just like completely forgetful and boring "safe" films. Greed is destroying arts everywhere. This way no revolutionary new stuff will appear... ...in the mainstream media.

For quite a while it's been like an unwritten rule that if you want to find new quality stuff, you have to look underground. In some cases literally. [trying to crack a joke]

I'll never forget dancing like I was having a seizure when he sang "I got the poison, I got the remedy" live here in Sydney many years ago. An unforgettable performer.

My wife is lucky she get to see them twice in Melbourne. Last time in 2009. I've been planning to see them together on this tour, but now it will never happen. Such a shame. They have hugely influenced my music and creativity.

That's really hard to believe, mate. Life is a very complex thing, and we often get to meddle with all kinds of people in all kinds of different moods.

I think he's a depressive like me, and if he was then you could get an impression of him like that. I tend to be dismissive and fucked up when I just want the work to be done, so we can enjoy the fruits of it afterwards. I think it's just that you caught him in this state. You took it too seriously. People have moods, you know? Especially when the work to be done is professional, you don't want any mishaps and shit to happen. You have to be serious about it. People often tend to think music gigs are fun to do. No they're not. It's very professional work and no time to get hammered and party.

I'm involved with live mixing and I feel like a slave generally when I'm doing that. Team work and putting aside your ego is the professional way to do it. If you can't cope with when someone tells you you're a cunt, then you shouldn't do it.

You can call me a cunt any time, but you better be right about it. Sometimes you really are a cunt without realising it.

I live with demons in my head. Sometimes they tell me I'd be better off dead. I've been known to be a total prick to people who don't deserve it. I've been a jerk right here many times. But it would be wrong to say that is the sum total of who I am. Last night my dog couldn't get her breath and I sat holding her in a state of near panic until she calmed down at 3am. That's a part of me and there's also a part that's a cunt. That's how people are.

Depression and anxiety are a bitch. I can assure you of that. It hurts like hell, but you get no empathy from those around ..because it's difficult to spot, despite being deadly..

Above average people, let alone those who really stick out are more prone to diseases like those. First, they don't fit well into main social groups. There is already a reason to be a cunt. Than (usually) the self-medication begins - it's natural for a human being to try to ease the pain.. alcohol, pills, various substances. It works for a while and then the usual shit happens.. How many great artists were cunts? Not talking decades, but centuries in the past. I can certainly be a cunt.. and especially at young age you don't even realize it. But now, knowing that, I try hard not to hurt others..

Prodigy were certainly part of my early life, they probably left a mark. So the bummer is that Keith's death reminded me - part of my life also died, gone.. nothing else to say really.

@notsoloud I wish all the best to your four legged friend. I had to say goodbye to mine not so long ago, and it really hurts.. here is the other part of me - that's how we are.

They just finished their quick Aussie tour. They hit up Melbourne about a month ago. I know it's depressing going back to the UK after visiting Oz but that's a bit much. That quip is intended to be good natured. It's never "too soon". Still gotta laugh. I was never a fan but I've been exposed a lot and have a lot of memories with Prodigy as the theme due to my age and the things I've done. Some of their tracks trigger memories of significant moments for me. Some unique combos that are just unmistakable.

I don't know anything about the bloke specifically. Dying doesn't change whether you were an ass or not but if you're a person who made an impact on many lives it's a notable moment. My beliefs (or lack thereof) don't allow me to say RIP but I guess I can say, for better or worse, he's no longer suffering.

The man behind The Prodigy is Liam and he's still alive,I hope he will continue his fantastic unique music.I don't how much Keith influenced The Prodigy.
Anyways it's sad,he was too young to die.
I wonder how good or how bad were their last performances?Maybe it has something to do with that?...
One of or my favourite band ever.RIP

I heard the sound engineer was very heavy-footed in Melbourne, at least. I don't know the general response to it but I know that one person wasn't impressed at all. I guess the takeaway from that is start paying those guys more (they earn peanuts) and you'll get better live engineers. I doubt a few badly setup gigs on a warm-up tour (I think?) would be enough to drive someone over the edge though.

It was 1995 when I saw them. Music For The Jilted Generation was played non stop at home.

Sure,he probably had other reasons. But when you're suicidal and very depressed, some futile things might be too much.I have personnally lost some people aroud me in that way.
It must be hard to live as a star, this kind of life must be exciting and very hard to manage at the same time, yet more when you're depressed and you must show your best on big tours like The Prodigy did.I wouldn't like this life personnally.
